As is currently stands rifle TAC mode is very unrealistic, the sights stay in the middle of the screen and only take up about 10% o the screen. Last time I aimed a rifle the rifle and sights took up at least 80% of my vision.

Something to this effect

The current TAC representation reminds me of a crosshair. I am not sure how difficult this would be to implement, animation issues and what not, but I think it should be an aesthetic priority.

thanx

heres my comment: ok now you dont need the blurr,
why: because the virtual model you're playing in the game sepose to be you,
just pretend the left hand and the right hand in the game are your hands in real life,
pretend your really holding your gun,
now if you want blurr,

just close your left eye manually

thats realism!

Id say, if you close on eye, your perception of distance and depth is slightly altered so not a good idea (the gun should also be alittle to the side in that case)

Yes I forgot to mention about the ironsight textures, they look really horribly when theyre up. And the m16 ironsight actually should look abit more of a thick flat ring (like a washer)instead of literally a ring in the shape of a torus.

I bet the model/skin of a new M16/M4 will look much better, once they made it. Look at ISM's/sho7's SIG!

I suppose so, but I seldom look at the 3rd person view of the weapon, most of the time its in the ironsights mode

Hey so have TT said anything about revisiting the FP's weapon origins??
I gotta admit I am really, really liking R6:Lockdown and GR:AW first person weapons , sights, and positioning.

Es muy bueno, si?

Si, senor!

Well to get this thread back on topic, I think the idea of making the sights a little bigger would work, although the blur, not so sure, makes it look more... unrealistic. although maybe a little blur would be ok. But Dragon has a point, it is kind of supposed to be you, not a charecter, probably why there is no 3rd person view.

And Silent I'm not trying to be disrespectful here, but do you have to comment on every post Dragon makes? :?

only the rear sights should blur aswell as the surrounding FOV.

Well ok, but don't start adding that sway to the gun and all that stuff, thats what starts to make the game harder ot play. One reaons MOHPA didn't go over well was how the sights were set up and how the gun acted when you moved.

you mean like the weapon sway in CoD2? hen yourre in TAC mode and you move the gun lags behinds so you actually lose your aim as you move then you need to re align the sights again.
