well currently we are in a public beta version 0.4 build 8, and build 9 will come out anytime soon. As far as we were informed, version 1.0 or the official final release is a long long way to go. Above all that, TCE is fully playable at its state and boasting to be the top 6 most played ET mod and the top one most played Total conversion mod for Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory by gamespy stats.

Ehh, sometime soon hopefully, since it was supposed to be out last month, expect any time now, but don't get too jumpy, just go labotamize your computer, stay off for a week or two, and then go re-download it all and you should feel all refreshed or something. 8)

TC:E has some of the most incredible gameplay I've experienced, and is basically the only reason I've been waiting forever for 1.0. I've described it as the baby AA and CSS would have if they got married. AA was always "Preceeding at an eighth of a mile an hour, sir" and CSS was "ZOMGZ RAMBOING HAX"

It's been a long wait, I'll give you that. But what's left, honestly? Animations, as I understand, take a while. Okay. Textures and maps (geometry-wise) look done, from the screens posted by TT members. HDR is coming along nicely (Coroner's big project), map models (cars, trash cans) look done, weapons are close to being done (they said their weapons modeller just left TT, and he had just finished them), some small bug fixes, and voila. Final testing stages.

I'm going out on a limb here, but I'd say if they got in gear we'll have 1.0 in our hands by Christmas. Some will laugh, yes, but it's what I honestly think.

Shiro, maybe you are unfamiliar with release numbers for free projects like these. 0.1 to 0.5 releases are generally for very early tests, where the basic framework is put down. 0.6 to 0.7 is new content and bug fixes, and a good representative of the final product. 0.8 to 0.9 is the devs saying "we think its done, what do you guys think?". 1.0 is everyone's happy with it and no bugs, no nothing.

I think, by your logic (or what you're thinking), we will double the content in 1.0 (?), because we're at 0.48 right now. We will not have double the content (maps, guns, code i guess), the rest is "that'd be nice" stuff.

they will probably get all the bugs and features in far before version one, but when that release is out, it will automatically jump to becoming v1.0
