i think that only these rifle ammunition types are FIT to be called sniper ammo:
20x110mm Hispano | 15.2mm Steyr APFSDS | .50BMG (12.7x99mm) | 12.7x108 mm (.50 Russian) | 20 x 83.5 mm MG151 | 14.5 x 114 mm Russian | 338 Lapua. any others, 7.62x54, 7.62x39, 7.62x59 are simply to extend infantry unit effectiveness over a few hundred meters. i think there is also a 7.92mm bullet type, but i cant seem to find it.

7.92 is also known as 8mm (I know, I know). It was was used mostly by the Germans in WWII.

No .308? Thats standard for U.S. military snipers i believe, im pretty sure its for the Army at least, their M24 uses .308, and also Law Enforcement snipers, unless of course they are using the big 5 O. Not to say they dont use anything else, but that is what is mainly used.
