on topic:

i think that the text colors of both team shouldnt be neccecarily RED & BLUE:
Image

it could be LIGHT BLUE & ORANGE:
Image
i think those colors have a better contrast, and it looks good too,

devs should try out the colors, maybe it does look better than red and blue.

well, I would prefer that both sides would not need those things. Anyway, since we wanted to put in the gps like palm device, all text messages can be stored in it. If you had that you wouldnt need colors. but your right, red and blue is getting over used. they should use other colors.

if the arrow/triangles above the players head,
would be replaced with the player's name.
like this:
Image
that would be very nice,

but you can only see the player's name's of your own team.
the names should not disappear,
it should stay constantly above the player's head. and if it annoys you,
you should be able to turn it off in the game settings/options

I constantly turn that off so that I feel the game alot more. In real life you dont see those things (ut maybe when we make a futuristic minimod its good) so removing them makes TCE feel more immersive to me.

Id also find the part where these guys get killed, someone should shot "man down" it makes the game feel more immersive aswell.

I usually say "Man Down" and "Need Backup" in that situation.

you should be able to remove it, in the game settings,
problem solved,

this is not about realistic or not,
than you might as well say, press "Esc" and do a vote is unrealistic,
(who the hell is gonna vote when he's in a middle of a combat situtation)

get the hole point... this has nothing to do with realism.
its just fun to see your team mates name, and to see what they're doing from a long distance, ect. ect.

yeah who the hell wants to vote in mid game. The voting should be done after the match not in the middle of it. The voting feature should be mad eonly available to everyone onces the victory has been called. While they wait, they can take votes.

this should include time limit ones. if it passes, the map re-starts. if it doesn't, next map pl0x!

for things like player kicks and important issues, I like the f1/f2/whatever key binding.

oh yeah, the votes doesnt seem to use standard democratic methods. The only way for a vote to be succesful most of the time in most severs is that everyone agrees to it, as in 100% and not majority vote. What would be worst if the admins, especially corrupt ones (no offense if any reading) can call an executive veto.

also... airon should not forget to add sounds,
like beeps... and peeps...

those kind of sounds make the interface feel less empty,
it really make things feel alive.

and yess, an interface/hud thats too crowded, is no good,
but a interface/hud thats too empty, is no good either,

so you really have to create a good well balanced interface,

me personally, i dont like classic interfaces/hud's
and what i mean by classic, is this:
Image

i like simple fresh 2D futuristic looking interface/hud's
like these:
Image
Image
Image
Image
some simple green/light blue lines, could make things look cool,

or arcady type of hud's look awesome too:
Image

where you hear a female voice saying:
-select squad,
-select class
-choose your weopons,
ect. ect.

stuff like that would be cool too

We need to use an interface that better suits TCE's theme and timeline. Something like a briefing room sort of thing.

Hmm... I can see it now.

I see a camera angle that is facing a briefing room. In it, you see several Spec. Ops in full gear without weapons sitting and facing a man in a camo uniform pointing a stick at a projector board. The camera moves from the right side of the room across to the left and up a bit.

The screen would have a bluish transparent border with the options menu on the right.

Now, the Terrorists would have something different.

A camera angle would point down at a 45 degree angle upon a line of terrorists holding AK-47's being briefed by an officer in a paramilitary outfit. The camera will move from the top left to the ground and make an angle up to the top right.

The border will be a transparent red and the options menu will be at the left of the screen.

If anyone would like me to narrate my descriptions, I wouldn't mind. My description is even complex to me. :P

Something like that would be good. And the loading screen should be something like that, but on the projection screen would be the image of the map seen on the current loading screen. When you get in the game, if the mappe added a dialogue briefing then it will play as soon as it is loaded. You will then see three folders on the table for specops or floor for tangos. By selecting the folder of the certain class either assault, recon, or support (may either be sniper of autorifle-man). After selecting the class you are issued with the current mission weapons or the standard issue for the specific mission and environment. If there are civvies it should have fire suppression, if it is nighttime the weapons will have flash lights and/or youll have NV, if it is a very wide map youll have 4x scopes on the guns, etc. Ofcourse, that is for OBJ mode only and the player rules and liitations should not be overrideable by the admin, only by the mapper (possibly even needs a map lock so that third party immitations with custom skins and weapons will never exist). In BC and CTF, there should be a different interphase.

Also the image of the Spec Ops going in on a Helicopter could be cool.
