so you guys telling me that the"slow moving speed"already exist in the game?

wow... i never notice it,

anyways, the reason i want the "slow moving speed"
is because that i want "stealth immersive" feel in the game like this
http://www.youtube.com/w/Metal-Gear-Sol ... tal%20gear
(watch this hole movie till the end)

that would be awesome,
because it really gets annoying if evrything is too fast,

like in allot of FPS games, its too arcady...

and the main reason that things happening too fast in the game,
because there is only 1 spawn point on both teams,
it makes things predictable,

to make each match feel different,
is to make 4 spawn points for both teams,

and on each new match, the system choses the spawn point for both teams,

so each new match will feel really different,
its like chess, it will never end the same.

this will add more "immersive stealthy" feel... in the game,
and it really really!!..... reduces the "boring factor"

I disagree that speed has to do with spawn points but I agree slower movement speed would be a great asset to the game both for more realism and tactical sophistocation.

Not just slower movement speed options, but limited sprint speed as real urban combat doesnt have you sprinting at fantasy motorcycle speeds and able to instantly raise and accurately aim a weapon.

I vetted slower movement speeds since the appearance of the original TC:E forums appeared (against much risistance and hostility) so I don't expect the game will be that much slower, or even offer realistic limitations on fast movement and time to aim.

It's really a shame that in most FPS games that claim to offer tactical realism that 'stealth' other then two seconds of careful movement is literally out of the question -- but it's not beyond reach of any Game Desinger that really wants to offer the capability...

Rainbow Six 3, from what I know, had a good speed defininition.

You could run as much as you wanted, but your accuracy would be t3h suck4g3.

the devs already made the movement speed slower for the next version.

if there's only 1 spawn point for both team,
it will make each match almost feel predictable,
so evry match will end quikly. wich makes it less immersive,
so if both team got 4 spawn points,
and if the system automaticly choose wich spawn point both teams have to start with, it will make each match less predictable,
and it slows the "speed".
because you have to be aware of evrything around you,
the enemy might be evrywhere,
so people will stop acting like rambo, and start acting real,
not like when there is just 1 spawn point, because you know exactly where the enemy's are comming from.

this will increase the "realism factor" and "fun factor"

I waanna do what PoP did, randomly placed spawn points.

seriously, for omaha, the allies would land on random places on the beach, and at random times.

Well as far as realism is concerned in contemporary combat, random insertion is not how it works... I'd rather have a planning interface for MP play like the R6 games have for SP -- and each squad plans their assault and where they will insert on the map for the round.

So the spawn system would work something like this:

You'd join a server and initially be forced to select, or create a squad (one man squads would not be allowed to enter the next round unless all other squads were full, after selecting a squad if the game was in motion you could spectate through camera or the planning interface. Once the round ended your squad would plan the next round -- with the squad leader having final say on where things went -- the game would have a default server side timer to force limits on planning.

thats a pretty neat idea hoak,
planning things before the match starts,
will deepen the game,
matter of fact, it will distinguish TC:E from all those other FPS games.

it really requires a squad leader,
the squad leader will be randomly chosen by the system.
so evryone gets the chance to be a squad leader.

the squad leader decides what strategy and tactics he will use for the match.

the squad leader will see something like this on his display:
Image

the hole map is devided into two parts,
enemy erea, specop erea,
both team cant see what the squad leaders are planning,
very logical afcourse...

now lets say hoak is the squad leader,
he can make/create his own combat plans/strategy's
by placing the circle where ever he wants,
each circle represents a player,
each circle hoak have placed, will be that player's spawn point
but only in the specop erea.
not the enemy erea.

each class has they're own circle color,

lets say green is the assault class,
yellow is the recon class,
blue is the sniper class,

each time you mouse-over the circles you should see the player's name.

damnn... if this is implented, it will give this game more friggen depth, and sophistication... this will make tce the first FPS game that done this.

Umm... aren't multiple spawn locations already available. If I'm wrong then I deem this thread Dragonathon

To back myself up if in some way he has brought something new to the table , multiple spawn locations would be iffy unless we got humungous maps or we'd spawn right at the enemies doorstep.

Sp4wn00bs would have life easy if this was added.

thats a very good point.

well i've an more efficient idea,
4 spawn points for each team, terrorist & specop.

ok now the squad leader(that whas automaticly chosen by the system)will see this on his display:

the "planning system" is still the same like i suggested it should be on the previous post.
the difference is that you cant just place the players evrywhere you want,
you can place the player evrywhere you want, but only at one of the 4 spawn points, you should have a total freedom of wich/each player you want to have on 1 of the 4 spawn points.

each spawn point has his own tactic/strategy

A= normal
B= stealth
C= "playing offensive"
D= "offensive/defensive"

each spawn point has his own speciality.

same with the terrorist,
the terrorist squad leader(that whas automaticly chosen by the system) will see this on his display before the match starts.

Image

this will increase the "fun factor"

I could see this as somesort of TOP view spectator mode. Instead of letting spectators view the game like a 3rd person hovers ghost, have them view the game from the top down, but they wont be able to tell who it is on the map. and they can only see the player's from the top down as very small details. I think this is much like CS isnt it.

Back on topic, I really would like i if there were more than one spawnpoint something like a random spawnpoint. because spawncampers are real and not imaginary.

"planning things before the match starts"

ok, now it should look something like this:

if you're a squad leader, you will see something like this in the display:

now before the match starts, you can arrange things,
you can choose 1 of the 4 spawn points for each player.

yeah that would be good, or you should end up on the spawnpoint with your fire team.

Reconnaissance an inspection or exploration of an area, especially one made to gather military information.

Though the actual Recon Troopers go in and clear out any weapons that could cause a great threat kind of misusing the definition.
