if you put it that way, the hand held gps system is perfectly good to get rid of the hud compass.

and you should see something like this on the GPS/compass display

the GPS/compass in TCE should have his own characteristics,
so people will reconise that it is A real "TCE" device,

developers should create there own creation,
the shapes ect. ect.

thats acceptable. but what you should see there are objectives (the next version have more than one kind of obj game), and not the enemies unless the squad leader sees them (add an igame auto voice message that says "enemy spotted, check your flanks" [orders everyone to look around them to make sure the wenemy isnt there]), and device should be able to locate teammates.

not bad.. for the ingame menu anyways. that should help alot in minimizing the exsitence of the hud making the game feel more real and taking screenshots more worth it (without the hud and all the gibberish on the chat box).

Ive never really palyed any espionage games. I always prefered going out to all out war rather than small skirmishes and tight narrow guerila squad based combat.

it sounds like a James Bond flick.

--get me some good TCE screenshots--ones without the hud, prolly high resolution then cropped, I could make some quality wallpapers that can be posted in the site's wallpaper section. Currently Ive made some America's Army wallpapers, they are simple and not as messy (messy as in too much text on it, who wants to see a paragraph when they turn on their pc?) as those that youll find in AA.com's gallery.

Oh, I should have elaborated a little.

Goldeneye was a console FPS, and yes, it was a Bond game.

When you would go to pause the game, Bond would look at his watch, and then it would zoom way in on the face of it. From there, you could check your objectives, change weapons, access your options, controls, etc. It was very cool, and Drago's pics of the GPS reminded me of it.

that thing has to be an actuall model to look real. we cant use a sprite in game that would be very bad. there has to be an actual hand with the gps device and a the lcd of that device has to be clear enough and visible on all resolutions alot like Doom3's pda and various other screens and stuff.
