I like to see the imvironment in TCE to be more interactive,
like to be able to shoot all the window glasses,
so it will deminish the feel that the background/invironment is just a decoration,

or destroyable wooden bridges,
example:
Image
when someone is standing at point A.
and you aim and shoot at the old wooden planks in the point C. erea where the enemy is standing,
than he will fall down from point A.
and he lose allot of life, or he will die, depends on how high the bridge is,
and there should be many other interactive things, that you could use as an advantage to kill enemy's with,

and there should also be elevators on some map,
not those modern day elevators, because those are difficult to implent,
but those old-school rusty elevators, where there are no doors,
where there are only 2 simple buttons, up and down,
this type of elevator is easy to implent in the game.
some thing like this
Image

those are the big things,
I also want to see small little interactive things,
like, aim and shoot at A soda-can, and make it move and bounce,
or shoot at furnitures, and destroy it,
ect. ect.

these things makes you feel the game is almost real/alive,
and it increase the "amusement-factor"
and deminish the feel that evrything around you is just decoration.

those are all up to the mappers, you dont need to make much changes in the game, just the map. Although if you wanted something like movable an destroyable, or carryable objects like in CS:Source, where you can also use them to block doors and stuff, thats not possible with ET's current engine. I think its possible with Doom3Engine, but not Q3E (includes W:ET-E)

If I ever get a map editor for TCE, I'm going to make a map that's all glass and only a few parts are breakable, lol.

Having a distroyable(sorry for spelling)bridge would be easier than most of dragonathens ideas as it could use those distroable objects like chairs and this from ET=]and if anyones played stargate on ET they have a bolder thats distroyable....it'd be cool if it weaked every time you went over it probally impossible though

the mapeditor is still the gtkradiant ET version, then just install the TCE skins and lighting set, both are available in the TCE.main downloads section.

it is possible with the "WET engine"

if you can destroy some wooden walls in TCE,
than why isnt it possible to destroy furnitures, wooden planks ect ect?

if TCE's maps becoming more interactive,
it will only deepen the game,
and TCE will be less arcady,

thats what you wanted right?

It's possible, but it will destroy the framerate.

and it all depends on the mapper. if you create the object in the mapeditor you can set a parameter that makes it destroyable.

I believe that's what they call 'actor karma'. You just have to script the object to make it destroyable. The WET engine should allow you to change properties of certain objects.

actually, more breakable stuff would be fun. but, in the end, it's up to the mappers. as kosack6 said, it would *i-need-a-broader-vocab* up the frame rate and possibly cause lag. but if the inividual planks wer destructable on a bridge (see panels on fence by SPECOP spawn in railhouse) it would be okay.
breaking furniture is easy as pie (GTK radiant has chairs, I know this, I"ve seen them in custom maps) all you need to do is import them.

little things like soda cans and stuff would (as far as I know) lag the server more than they would provide amusement.

I would like to see a few custom maps for sniper/marksmanship training similar to the sniperange ET level. nothin beats picking off bottles with a sopmod.

the sopmod doesnt have a zoomed scope, the SOPMOD scope in TCE is similar to the M68aimpoint is mentioned in the other thread.

well i wouldnt call shooting at soda-cans an amusement,
its just to make you feel that evrything around you is alive,
and it deminish the feel evrything around you is just decoration.

all it needs is some civilians and a little animation like flickering lights, stuff swaying in the wind, small animals and stuff.

thats A good idea,
but its should be small little animals like rats,
and you're able to kill those rats,
http://nosferatuthegame.com/media/model ... at-wos.jpg
http://intranet.centrenad.com/postnuke/ ... _model.jpg
http://3dup.com/highmodels/models/0005.jpg
http://gryzor.club.fr/half-life/gfx/mod ... bigrat.jpg

and it should only be on some particular map
like in a sewer or something.

it requires someone who's good at coding bots,
and it requires very good animators/modelers.

i saw someone on the main forum someone who wanted to join Team terminator, he's A bot coder, i think coroner did let him join the team,

oh and i know for sure, that there are people that think this idea is stupid,
yess it sounds stupid, if you only play arcady type of games like quake ect. ect.

but if you play different games like: RPG, STEALTH, ADVENTURE, 3rd person shooters, ect ect.

than you will notice that this idea is actually not bad,

I whas thinking, why not let the spectators be civilians?

XenoKiLLer wrote:
stuff swaying in the wind

like news papers? good idea, but i think thats difficult and too complex to code.
