I'm sure ragdoll woudld be cool (awesome, infact) but it takes waaay too much work.

new anims would be cool, but there is a definite shortage of ET animators (reason for PoP to move to the source engine)


but I am glad they fixed the prone death thing, so you dont go up and yell "MEDIC!" anymore. it's fun to watch in regular ET though P

yeah, i already posted the helpwanted ad in planetHalflife regarding the PoP move to source and needing help to finish it. Most of thier ET-PoP followers might go to TCE as their last hope. but they might make a public release of ET-PoP just for the fun of it, I asked Ipox if they could have a new team assembled to complete it.

I'd be willing to learn basic moddeling skills and/or mapping ones to help, plus, if an ET vversion of PoP is released, I get to avoid dragonathan.

well, we can only hope.. yeah, me to, im willing to learn how to map/moddel with for the ET engine if that can help with the improvement of TCE.

you should know the limitations of the engine. Quake3Engine is nearly 4 or more years old. Its programming language is called QuakeC, a code similar to C (not C++) but over simplified for game development. Even if you know C/C++, programming with QuakeC can be confusing for you because of its differences and limitations compared to the original C/C++ languages. Creating ragdolls and ragdoll physics engines arent so easy, especially when your integrating it into an old engine that has an unusual programming language. Dynamic lighting and shadows are the same situation with a realistic physics engine, they are just to modern for an old engine. Not that im saying its immpossible but I would just take so much work than just improving on what is already there. The devs are just improving what already in the engine, they are not adding completely new engine features, only game feature. (no new technical features, only gameplay features)

it is.. over does it sometimes.. its only good for Johnwoo style games with melee, and hand to hand that has a the Matrix like feel.
