well, in my opinion "and i know evryone will disagree "
the developers should recode evrything,

and add "dynamic lighting" "dynamic shadows" "ragdoll physics"
ect ect,

all those things that all modern day games have.

i mean,
are they planning to keep developing TCE, with out
"ragdoll physics" "dynamic lighting" ect. ect.?

if they are, thats A bad thing, if they wanna compete with all those other games out there, they should have these "source codes" added in the game,
they have to keep up with the technology's,

its better to do it now, than to do it later, wich only piles up more and more work, if they ever consider to add "dynamic-lighting"
"dynamic shadows" "ragdoll physics" ect ect.

The problem is that it's much easier said than done.

its not that easy to do something like that. Noone on Earth, or mars for that matter can program new hardware intensive features like those into an old game engine, or even a new engine in one day, or even one year. When idSoftware decided to make Doom3, they upgraded the Quake3 engine which uses the QuakeC programming language. They wanted to add dynamic lights and a physics engine, but since programming these required you to use C++, they had to rewrite the whole source code in C++, and thats nearly over hundreds of millions of lines. And in doing that having that upgrading Q3E from that time being so much work they made a complete new engine instead, now called the Doom3 Engine, which is still not under GPL but requires you to buy a developer's lisence. Dragon, maybe you might want to look for a Doom3 mod that is similar to TCE, that way they will have all the features you want all ready in the game.

the point is,
someday or another, they have to have these features added, or noone will play this mod, because there will be tons of different free FPS mods,
that has all the "source codes"

thats why im saying that its better to do it earlier,
than if you dot it way.. later,
because the more they wait, the mork work the devs will pile up,
and it would be just a mental disaster for the developers,
knowing that they have alllot of work to do,

before that time comes, tehy would have finished this mod and started work on another mod on a newer game like Halflife2 or Quake4, or obviously, ET:Quakewars.

but i think the devs only want to work on free game engines,
so evryone can downlaod they're mod.

ET is the exeption, but by the time TC:E is done, what are they going to do? they have to move on to another game, Quakewars makes the most sense since it is a multiplayer class based FPS very similar to the way ET is now, but ofcourse having all the new graphics features and more.

what they need to aim is,
trying to make TCE a stand-alone game

there is nothing wrong with the "WET engine"
it only needs upgrades,

i say, put banners and advertisement evrywhere on this website, and the main.website, and ask for donations,

i mean TCE is a low budget game,
and the devs dont even put banners and advertisements on they're website?

even Soldier of fortune's website has bannners and advertisements on the side of they're page, and Soldier is not A low budget game,
http://www.soldier-of-fortune.com/

"EDIT"

so you can buy the license of the "WET engine"
and make it a stand-alone game,
and whatever you want with the game engine,

you keep saying thing but you dont know what your talking about, no offense. The WET engine I believe isnt being sold for lisencing, so is Quake3Engine. Currently, the Doom3 lisence is what is on the market and if TCE is low budget, how do expect them to purchase those lisences? Developer lisences arent cheap, if they are going to buy a lisence they might aswell sell the to to the players instead of making it free. Unless you want to donate over $100,000 US dollars to TT, they cant exactly buy the engine lisence and give away their work for "free". I asked about the standalone idea, the only way to get standalone is to make a whole new game from the GPL version Quake3Engine, but that would mean some certain downgrade from current quality. That would also mean having to start again from step 1, an that isnt acceptable either. The only move now is to add new gameplay features (not graphical features), make more maps and gametypes.
