i've seen some people suggested to hit your team mate with the but of your gun to make him lay down, so you can get pass him when he is standing in your way,

but what if the person thats standing in your way,
is in A difficult situation, and the reason he stands in your way is because,
if he moves he get killed,

well i have a practical solution for this,

there should be A action icon when your standing behind your team mate,
and if you select that action icon,

you will touch his shoulder,
and he will receive this message with huge fonts in the screen,
"MOVE"

"MOVE"

well if you do that A couple of times, it get annoying for him, he probably will move...

check the first part of this movie,
you see A soldier touching his team mates shoulder,
http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php? ... e&type=wmv

you have to wait for the download though, but its worth watching,
so you will get the point of my idea.

we could just bind the use command to nudge the teamates screen alitle bit, then play a voice that says "move". plus also inlcude hand signals for real quite communication with the team.

dude....

man your the only one i can discuss with really good,
cause you know exactly what i mean...

but on topic:

hand signals would be awesome,
but i whas thinking of A campaign/or training mode,

so if you pass all the levels,
than you will get A commander rank,

than.. your able to do hand signals like, "move forward" "left" "right" "no"
ect. ect.

and new voices will be opened in your voice box,
voices that only A commander can use,

everyone should be able to respond to commands using hand signal.. America's Army has handsignals but only the squad leaders use them. im not sure if regular soldiers do use it, mabye they only point and nod

Dragonathan wrote:
i personally think you have to earn the hand signals,
because if evryone is using hand signals,

than noobs would probably use the hand signals the hole time,
it could put the hole team in trouble,

so they have to pass there campaign/training first before using the hand signals

yeah, i can see idiots waving at enemies like "shoot us were over here"

by the way, the jpgs have already been uploaded. they are at the new guns post.

how about that cool feature in et servers where if a guy was in front of you you could press e or f(dunno which one) and he could shoot in the direction you were facing? this could be implemented but make it like a push, not like a rpg.

Xenokiller wrote:
like that but not push them to another location, thats jsut annoying if you get pushed into an enemy's FOV. what is good is that you can nudge them a bit, maybe the screen will seem to move forward (just like what youll see when someone hit you with their palm on your back) but noe enough to move you around.

even with the aging "WET engine" the devs are using
I just know shure.. this feature is possible to implent,

touching someone's shoulder,
is basicly the same like picking up weopons from the floor,

example:

when you you see A weopon on the floor, you see A icon on your screen,
that means you can pick the weopon,
if your standing behind your team mate, you will see A action icon too,
meaning you can touch your team mate's shoulder,
so he will see large fonts on his screen that says:
"MOVE" that will appear on and off on his screen,
so he will get irritated,
eventually he will move.

oh you can even use this feature as an tacticle usefull thing to use
when your in "true combat" situation with your team mates

Yeah, this method is a very good idea but it has one flaw. It is very rare whenever I see players "working together" in ET and TC:E. This idea could, I'm not saying it will, lead to eventual friendly fire from the constant annoyance from the guy behind you. For there is always going to be that spaztic guy that keeps tapping your shoulder...

Let me clarify that I'm just speaking out of my ass on this issue. :D

that works in America's Army, where they are really strict about ROE. but in ET or TCE for that matter, that really gets annoying. I shot a teammate once for excessively pushing forward right into the enemy.

thats just the tip of the iceberg. If your a sniper more often, youll see (and wont believe) what these "noobs" will do to you just because they cant get a kill even if it droped right infront of them.

And with the way some of the hosts run it, you have to have everyone vote yes in order for the vote to be properly executed.

thats why sometiems its more fun to stay back in the distance and snipe the enemy instead of squeezing in with doofus in the front lines where he'll push you over the fence unto a crate of AP tipped bullets.
