having problems with update might be true, but if it works it would be good because people dont have to download and install things manually again

There isn't anything hard about installing TrueCombat: Elite 0.49b for Windows users. Wow, two files that the user must download. They are even titled logically. It's quiet foolproof, read for yourself.



There is no need for automatic updates feature as todays current FPS games do not release updates on a scheduled basis like MMORPGs.

I don't think Coroner is allowed to bundle ET and TCE: CQB together in one installer, as it would promote TCE: CQB over ET when TCE: CQB is just a mod.

Auto-update is not difficult to implement, even as a third-party add-on if you really want it as OFP: Dragon Rising Fans have done; there are many prebuilt libraries to do exactly this like the one in the NSIS so it's very easy -- but it does offer another avenue for exploits and cheats that many will prefer was not there after the fact -- so I'd say 'don't bother'...

Of all the pet wish posts so far, I think Dragonathan's suggestion for saving your load-out preferences in your profile is probably the most worthy; especially so if the game offers the level of character and weapon customization Coroner seems be implying will be offered -- as re-jigging this every game or round could be very tedious...

coroner isnt stupid, ofc he will include an option to save your loadout. it'll prolly be similar to the cod series as a lot of his planned features are coming from there anyway

loadout system can even be compared to the original TC or even urban terror.
in any case this is an interesting way to play if there are enough options
