On ship, i do not know what you plan, but i hope you'll make some shaders in order to fake a reflection on the metalic ground due to the water (you miht see those kind of shaders in obj_office or obj_jackalnest), so we feel to be on a wet place. I hope you'll make moving waves in water too, so we get a final touch in a dark foggy-rainy map..

stealth were also working on a map of a ship, its very detailed has engine rooms and everything, if you message me ill send you the .map file so you can take a look, see what you think of it, its almost as detialed as the cod4 boat,

Well, when you see the process cycle for making a map, the mappers alive could gather and make projects together in order to speed up process.

Yeah guys, revive goldman systems, add few shaders & models, polish it a little and it will be the best map like it was already before.

So far I'm planing on using specular shaders for the shiny stuff you spoke of. A lot of people are telling me to leave the rain out. As far as the waves, I dont think this is possible. I can create a up and down motion which would simulate being on a ship. But with a FPS drop. I will make it as realistic as possible though.

There is a way to get sort of waves on the sea ('T'immy created a map during 048 using that).
It might be some "deformvertex" or something shader related ?
