Ok, now making a texture for something is easy if you know how. But how could you make a 3d texture like a ghillie suit.
And would it be seriously hard?

You'd be better off asking a 3d modeling forum. There are quite a few out there that are very helpful.

I'd imagine that it would be pretty tricky, at least for the ET engine, as you need to put a ton of sprited on it. but otherwise, it's still kinda tricky and time-consuming, but a basic person with a bunch of little chunks of stuff on him/her is all you need. once you can do people and small stuff, you should be able to do it, but you'll fall asleep. during the project.

Yes the answer is in sprites. Even the ghuilie suit in BF2 is made up of sprites.
