First of all this is not a poll! Everyone saying "that sucks" or "I love the map" will not get the map in or out of the tournament.

Everyone doesn't like every map. Some love Northport while others hate it. Village and especially Snow divide people's opinions even more. Because of this, we are looking for proper arguments. Does it have a lot of bugs, does it play poorly etc. But keep in mind that every map is not supposed to play the same. Some are easy to attack, like snow and Stadtrand. Others are hard like Delta. A good team is able to play different kind of maps, and not just to repeat the same tactic every time.

Custom maps nominated:
Frostbite (was in NC 2007 and WL 2009)
Snowtown (was in NC 2007)
Vorort (was in NC 2007)
Villa2
Werk_ost
Office2
Desert raid

All of those maps are great.
Werk_ost is probably closest to original maps,
but it is made much better.
Superior in game play.

Very careful choices, I think.

Frostbite (was in NC 2007 and WL 2009)
Shouldn't be played as it is a very unoriginal map.
It looks bad compared to the other maps
The design is flawed with pathways just to have ways.

Snowtown (was in NC 2007)
A good map combining vertical and horizontal gameplay in a good way. It does also look good.

Vorort (was in NC 2007)
Big map with many ways.. Great for BC but not as great as an obj map. It's a funny map though and should be included

Villa2
A map where the rounds will end up quickly.. Funny

Werk_ost
Great map in gameplay and also visually

Office2
Small map where the bomb will be planted at one bombspot most of the time.. Shouldn't be included.

Desert raid
The specops have an advantage but it has a different approach in gameplay.. Should be included as it original, plays well and is also a goodlooking map

Why anyone doesn't like playing Frostbite or Desert?
Well, some of those are remapped from .48 era for .49b now. Good map though then...

New thing can be found in new maps, let try out!

Does it help whining about those people here?

Real comments about the maps please, no off topic.

Frostbite -Easy to learn (d2 anyone?) and fun map to play and no major bugs. Should be played in NC.

Snowtown (was in NC 2007) - Same as above. Huge map with lots of possibilities on terrorist side! Should be included aswell.

Vorort (was in NC 2007) - Again, same as above.

Villa2 - Technically, a good map (good fps and no bugs) but just a bit stupid map if you ask me - unnecessary hallways here and there, and the other bombsite room is just way too small making the firefight distances way too short (getting bit technical here lol).

Werk_ost - One huge labyrinth and I get worse fps here than in rail or snow.

Office2 - Maybe a little too small map and we already have one snow... Wink

Desert raid - fun map, which has it's bugs, but I would include this one to see, can actually someone win a majority of the terrorist rounds... Wink

Balanced maps :
- Frostbite (was in NC 2007 and WL 2009)
Very tactical map, good FPS, no bugs, good reactivity challenge.
- Snowtown (was in NC 2007)
Standard-like map, good FPS, no bugs, camping friendly.
- Villa2
Perfect mapping quality, good FPS, no bugs, good tactics required, rush friendly.
- Werk_ost
Standard-like map, good FPS, no bugs, perfect for wars.

OneSided maps :
- Vorort (was in NC 2007)
Very tactical map, good FPS, no bugs, but bombsite A is nearly impossible to plant for terrors.
- Office2
Too small map with bugs (nade kills through ceiling), A is not reachable for terrors and B really easy to fast plant.
- Desert raid
Very tactical map, good FPS, no bugs, only 1 bombsite but a REAL teamplay challenge !
