i found out that the "cover me" voice is allready in the game,
funny though, sometimes im in server where you only can hear "covering fire" today i whas in a server where you can hear "cover me",

anyways, i want something like a "i got your back" voice,
so if someone asked "cover me" you can say "I got your back"

well, normally the reply to that is Roger or 10-4. Those two are shorter and more preferable than saying a sentence.

Yeah, it is. But with the Spec Ops, you always here the word "repeat" at the end. It's kind of cool :)

hey i heard a new cover me voice again that i never heard,

suppresive fire

whatah "...." does that mean?
serieus, they should remove those nonesense voices,

-covering fire can be removed,
-suppresive can be removed,

and maybe theres even more alternative "cover me voices" that i still need to discover,

i just want some simple voices, not something complex that non military people dont understand.

Supressive fire isn't a terribly difficult concept.

It basically means shooting in the general direction of the enemy to make them keep their heads down.

I suppose covering fire is similar, except for the purpose of allowing you or your teammates to move to another position.

why do we need:
-covering fire,
-suppresive fire,
if "cover me" is sufficient enough?

tce is international, there allot of foreign people that dont speak/understand english properly playing tce, and trust me, they wouldnt know what covering fire or suppresive means, so if you ask new players to cover you, there is big chance they wont understand what suppresive fire or covering fire means,
you have to look at other people's point of view too,

TCE doesnt have different language versions. The devs havent even finished the beta, you cant expect them to make a version for each language.

what is the problem again. Why do you always have to mention moderator. Havent you though that the reason why the mods from the other forums dont want you there is because of your attitude. NVM.

Back on topic. People who cant understand english at all (100% cannot understand english) wouldnt be play this game in the first play for the following reason; TCE is all in english. The only way for other languages to be around is thru the use of minimod by thirdparty modders.

If they figured out how to get TCE and ET running, then that speculated that they understand even a bit of english. And if they do, you could expect that they have already watched some good-ol American movies before, which means that they will most likely know what "cover me" means.

As for "suppressive fire", if they happen to "not know" what suppresive means, or they do know what it means but not what it means when you refer to tactics. With the ever increasing popularity of american action movies, the phrases "cover me" and "suppresive fire" arent really that taboo to the world. The only person who would know about that would be someone who has never seen a lightbulb before. (doesnt have access to modern technology)

if theres people that dont understand a little bit english,
than it must be hardcore bumpkins, who've never been in a city.

you should try ask a france, or a spanish guy who dont speak english very well, ask him what suppresive fire means, he probably wont understand it.

well I know some people who dont even speak english that are playing TCE. those are that types that dont understand english but they do understand words like "FIRE" "SHOOT" "COVER"

those are simple words that evry foreigner that dont speak english understands, but words like suppresive fire, covering fire, are words that confuse foreign people that dont speak english very well

by simply hearing the root word of "covering" or the root word, just the sound... anyone who knows the root word will be able to tell what it may mean and narrow down the vocabulary list. The fact that they dont speak english doesnt mean they found, downloaded, and installed both "english" language games (ET and TCE). What if they were only playing on cybercafe? Even if they cant understand english at all, they can still just play the game without worrying about reading through the long installation instructions provided by both games that are in English. Chances are, the only people who really would not understand those phrases are those who, like you said, never really been to a city.
