been brought up before, so I decided to do a new thread on it.

so, you're throwing a nade in TC:E, but you have no clue where the hell it's gonna go 'cuz ya can't see.

I"m thinking something like in America's Army, where you hold out your hand, and use it.I'll practice with baseballs/softballs/other household things and see if it helps in RL.

good that you opened a new thread about this issue,
its not that bad to copy things from other games,
but to make it exactly the same like its almost a clone,
thats a bad thing.

I know a trowing method thats even more better than America's army's "trowing system"...

--> why not use the nade's pin, as an iron sight to aim? <--

whould you take the time to arrange the pin when you get ready to throw a live grenade? I think not. I would just pull my hand up, with the pin still on my thumb, and I"d throw.

true, but using your index finger to aim,
is friggen wack and lame,

i think to use the nade's pin as an iron sight, is the best thing to do,

well when i say, using the grenade's pin as an iron sight,
i dont mean aiming like when you aim with your weopon,
like focusing on the iron sight,

because dont you think it looks retarded if you're aiming and focussing on the nade's pin?

what i actually mean is... is to use the grenade''s pin like a crosshair.

its the same thing like using your index finger to aim like in A.A.
its sort of A replacement for the crosshair,

so instead of using your index finger as a crosshair,
i think its tighter to use your gernade's pin as a crosshair.

hmmm, this astounds me, in all the other threads you want realism, except for this one. it's human instinct, and it is also trained into all soldiers that when they throw a grenade, they use thier hand to aim.
plus, with the index finger and thumb, you have the vertical AND horizontal stability.

like holding out a big "L"
Code:
           _
          | |
          | |
          | |
  ____|  |____
 |\/ \/ \  /   \/  |
 |__________|

oops  wrong finger

not true,

I care about the realism, and.. gameplay
and this one isnt unrealistic,

you say aiming with your index finger is a good "trowing system" method,
but thats your opinion, thats your statement,

but i say that aiming with your index finger is pretty *I need a large hot beef injection ♡*,
its lame, and its a freaking A.A. rip off,

but thats my opinion and my statement,

I guess, in the end it is all the decision of the developers. let us leave this thread till they decide.

another thing. if you press the ironsights button when you are just holding a nade, would it be possible to use your hand to check about where you would throw it.

If you need to aim, you gotta use your hand because you dont have a crosshair in real life.

using your index finger to aim, would look really *I need a large hot beef injection ♡*,
what I suggest is to show all the fingers,

like this:
Image

this looks way better, still aim with the index finger,
but you should see all your fingers, or you can aim between the middle finger and index finger. and i dont mean you will see some lame peace sign,
what i mean is that you should see it inconspicuous,
same like I suggest to use the nade's pin as an inconspicuous scrosshair.

nobody ever mentione sticking up one finger. I meant use the same method as in America's Army. Where th whole hand with 4 fingers are extended and the thumb extended away. with both angles visible, it makes for a simple way to measure the distance and trajectory my simple traingulation. But in game, you only use it for aiming and estimating where the nade will go. Aim with the indexfinger for shortrange, aim with the thumb for long range and high places.

what would be cool is, if players can choose how they wanna trow it,
same when you use a rifle, you just hold your rifle normally,
or you can hold your rifle while aiming.

the same method should be added when you wanna trow a nade,
if you're using the nade, and right click your mouse button,
than your left hand will appear like that picture i showed,
you right click again, than you wont see your left hand on the screen nomore,

something like that,
i dont know if this a bad or a good idea,

comments please... :D

throw/roll could be controlled by firemode, but dragon is suggesting using teh hand as an ironsight.

I agree that it would be good, maybe it takes longer to throw with your hand up, but is more accurate.

I never seen anyone throw with only one arm and the other arm by their waist. Baseball players always see to keep the otehr arm extended for balance, soldiers use the same thnig for the same use, but for another use aswell, aiming.
