i wanna see a mini mod that has a tiny bit "FUTURISTIC SCI-FI THEME"
where you can use prototype weopons,
that exist but never been used in real combat situtations.
stuff like that. and the maps should look a tiny bit fictional/sci-fi,
where futuristic looking doors opens autmaticly ect. ect.

does anyone have some idea's?

didnt I say that already. or was that in the other forums. I know I mentioed a scifi theme. I know its farfetched but Id really like something different for an FPS since m16s and terrorists, especially the Ak47 are getting too clichey and rather overused and is soon to get boring. Look at WWII games, they just keep making em and making em, tis the only war in history that has lasted this long and the over theme can really get boring after a while since how mny trillions of nazi (not germans) do you have to shoot? A theme like Quake Wars would be way cool.

well i thinks thats a bad idea,
isnt this hole idea of having mini mods for tce,
to test things like a prototype,
that might be fused with the official mod?

what your asking is the devs to develop 2 different projects,
wich is bad, they could better stay with one project.

the hole point of this futuristic themed mod,
is to test things out, like how it would be to have a jackhammer in the game, stuf like that, and if it the jack hammer actually fits in the game,
the devs might consider to make the jack hammer an official tce weopon.

yes, exactly that. do remember that thing doesnt have a laser and lasers arent really futuristic but the idea of the future of military warfare during the early 30s which is very corny nowadays.

you mean kinda like Republic Commando where you can see your helmet visor's contours then on it will be the visible hud. thats actually good. Making a TCE minimod set a few decades away from current modern eras. Givng specops new hightech headgear that has transparent lcd screens builtin that display friendly troop locations, ammo indicator and injury indicators. TO keep thnigs simple limit them to one or two weapons that have different features depending on what class is chosen. Like is you choose assault, you get a nade launcher mounted on your Pulse rifle, but it already does by default. Then for recon it would have a high power zoom feature with IR vision for spotting enemies that are hiding but no sniping capabilities. The heavy weapons class where the barrel and chamber are replaced with heavu duty material to withstand the heat from a 1000rpm auto rifle with a 2000 round box type magazine. Then ofcourse the sniper class with a image intensifying motion detect scope that locateds any moving targets friendly or Op4. Well, these are all good and I would like to see them in ET as a mod, but it appears that noone will make this. When the ability to make minimods becomes available, and server and pb support for these minimods starts to work fine, then perhaps all we might need is a change on wepaons models and the hud itself (making it look like a visor). The new high detail character models are fine for futuristic gameplay. Imagine Ghost recon right.. something like that. Possible new tech sci fi gadgets but still using modern guns.

If you're suggesting a Halo kind of feel, I strongly disagree... The Pulse Rifle you have a couple posts up, the one that is seen in the Alien series, would be a nice mini-mod, but it would probably have to be like TC:E and be a total conversion from the actual game itself.

no, im not suggesting something from the year 5690
im suggesting something about proto type things that we actually might see in the future.

something like ghost recon type of sci-fi,
where you can use concept/prototype of weopons that allready exist,
but its still not used by the military.

Like the FN-2000. I would love the game if it had that weapon with a silencer and launcher. I'd go Splinter Cell on yo' asses.

I was imagining a Ghost Recon kind of futuristic, something in the near future like the years 2013-2060 not the year 2565-3000 which is jumping way to far. BTW have you guys watched the Ghost Recon 3 videos, they have included many of the high tech gadgetry I mentioned before like the gun mounted camera for peeking around corners with only your gun, then the helmet cameras etc. not to mention that the gun they use looks alot like the xm8. They also got that fance transparent LCD visor which looks great at blending the hud with the game itself.

Well, that technology isn't exactly futuristic. :P

American technology has greatly increased in the past several years.

The idea is to have two teams that are of equal skill and technology to make the game more fair. Because, the terms "Wallhugger n00bs" would be a term for the ones peeking around the corners of spawnpoints and killing people. It would cause more problem than benefit.
