i want see some several different death animations,

-fall down on your knee's first, after that you will you fall down on you're belly,

when you killed someone with A shotgun:
-he will make A 2seconds air-time backwards, than he will fall on his back,
(A little bit hollywood wont hurt)

when you killed someone with A shotgun from behind:
-he will make A 2seconds airtime forwards, than he will fall on his belly
(A little bit hollywood wont hurt)

this only works when your at A close distance between you and the enemy,
it wont work anymore if you killed your enemy with A shotgun from A farther distance.

this "shotgun death animation" should also be used when people get killed by a nade/explosion.

ys a little bit hollywood will hurt.

it's been tried, a 12-guage deer slug with FULL stopping power caused a crash test dumy to move back a WHOLE 2 INCHES!

if it can be done, I"d like ragdoll for deaths, makes it more unique.

just remember...

no matter how realistic A game can be,
its still a game...,
A little bit hollywood wont hurt... trust me, it would increase the
"amusement-factor"

it would hurt for me, remember, yu have a fully upright corpse hitbox flying around, it'll block bullets, and make a lot of us BC players pissed off.

Amusement isn't a factor in these kind of games, some people would like it, but I would, personally, not be amused by a person flying back 10ft because I shot him wtih a Glock 19. A buckshot, maybe 3 feet, but in most cases its from them jupming back in surprise.

Off Topic:
btw, if you wan't Hollywood, play the game 'The Movies' and tell me how much you like corny amusement.

and i dont mean that the person thats hit by A shotgun bullet, have to fly 10ft away...

A little airtime wont hurt, it makes the game look cool

it makes it look cool in your opinion. in my opinion, it is not.

but, we do not know what the dev's opinion is, and there is only 1 way to find out, and that is sit and wait patiently for v0.49 which will come out

when it's done

*sits and reads book*

serieus *senior*... you should stop waiting,
unless you wanna wait 1 or 2 years,

Quote:
What is the time line for TCE development? Will we have to wait ages for an update?

No. The development is quite far along and we are aiming at a release in the near future.

This release, however, will not be the "final version" of TCE. From the next version (0.49) on, we will follow the "babystep" development policy (which means we will aim at a more frequent update of code and maps and won't try to finalize a product having a long development cycle). One reason for this decision is because we are considering the expectations the audience has for a mod nowadays: a development cycle could easily be two years.

Lastly, our friends over at act-of-war.de have sent us a holiday greeting card. [AoW], for those of you who don't know, is a large gaming community site specializing in mod/map downloads. They have been avid supporters of TCE since day 1. So basically, if there is anything TCE (or TC) related you need to download, visit their site. :) Thank you and season's greetings to you all again!

See you in the new year! :)

so stop expecting 0.49 will be released in 1 or 2 months,
forget about that, what you need to do is stop waiting and play another game or something,

or stop replying all my threads' and say: its A waste of time.

the reason why I do wait, is because I have many other games I play in the meantime. I have starsiege: tribes, RTCW (haven't even TOUCHED multiplayer yet) and a few other ET mods. (like PoP, if they release what they got before the switched to the source engine)

and from what I hear, the devs are pretty close to another release.

well if you mean 6 or 7 months, by "pretty close to another release"
than i would believe you,

but if you mean 1 or 2 months by "pretty close to another release"
than you have to face it that thats not true.

well, in my opinion "and i know evryone will disagree "
the developers should recode evrything,

and add "dynamic lighting" "dynamic shadows" "ragdoll physics"
ect ect,

all those things that all modern day games have.

i mean,
are they planning to keep developing TCE, with out
"ragdoll physics" "dynamic lighting" ect. ect.?

if they are, thats A bad thing, if they wanna compete with all those other games out there, they should have these "source codes" added in the game,
they have to keep up with the technology's,

its better to do it now, than to do it later, wich only piles up more and more work, if they ever consider to add "dynamic-lighting"
"dynamic shadows" "ragdoll physics" ect ect.

Dragonathon, don't get pissed off at my exageration, possibly overly exagerated, because Hollywood = Unreal-fucking-listic.

Two seconds of airtime is a long time so they would have to fly either 5ft back or fly 4ft up in the air. And not even the Shotgun is capable of that, even with Buckshot. I mean, a shotgun normally would cause them to fall back maybe a foot or two but never a 2 second free fall.

Also, realism is what everyone wants, not some Matrix style shooting. You may like it, but the larger majority, like 99% of everyone, would wrather have realism in a game.

we've all played cs, you know when you kill someone there are random deaths. sometimes you go flying in the air. id like that. plus dragon, i have a better suggestion. when you get shot close in the back you disentegrate rather than fly. thatd be cool.
