Did you enable ET.exe to allow access to the internetz in your Firewall settings ?

I don't know what firewall you have, but most have something like Trusted applications,
where you can add programs to, that the firewall will not block.
If you have Comodo for instance, Go to firewall > trusted applications and add etmain.exe
and punkbuster to the list and you should be fine.

To join them you can install the SL game launcher

At the moment, Only TCE servers with players on will show in your in game server browser.
