I didnt say you said M rated games have to be gory I said the idea you wanted with the dead baby and mother is gory.

We will not allow depiction of dead women and children in a game. If there is something you would learn from talking to friends and aquaintances in military, that is not pleasant and neither is that decent to add to a game.

never said its pleasant, but reality isnt pleasant my friend, war isnt pleasant my friend, its horrorful, infact if u wanna put it that way, than you kinda agree for not having guns in the game, because guns arent pleasant either my friend, its a tool to kill people, no u cant do nothing good with it, its just a killing tool,
even if you sepose to kill "the bad guys" with it, but hey... the bad guys thinks the same way u think "guns are for killing bad guys", allot of people think like that, thats why there are too many unnecessary killings in the world, with out guns/weopons there wouldnt be much killing in this world,

so in otherwords, saying that u dont want gruesome in the game is basicly the same thing like saying u dont want any guns in game because guns are a gruesome thing too you know,
but u know what.... i really dont care about all this, because its just a freaking GAME

and this game sepose to be realistic, if u visit IRAQ, im sure u c dead civilians evry day, like young " innocent childrens " but thats war, war is gruesome, put in in the game and u will have something realistic,



once again, its M rated, something that is M rated cant be sued for just having a realistic gruesome effects, no matter how hard you try,

If we can stick dead babies in the game, why not boobies? nudity is fine in M rated games. hell, why not stick a ton of swearing in it, too.

BTW, the M rating has its limits, jsut because it is rated as "Blood and Gore recommended for Mature audiences 17 and up" doesnt mean you can go over board like that. Go ahead, ask ESRB, depicting dead bodies of civilians will only get you an AO rating, and that isnt good for any game.

just a random example, dawn of the dead 2005 was M rated, an u could see a little child trying to eat her parents.

Excuse me, Dawn of the Dead is a movie and is rated differently from any interactive media.

Movies are rated by the MPAA, games are rated by the ESRB, two different companies, two different systems.

there was this game on the ps2, i forgot the title was a japanese horror game,
and there were little girls trying to kill you with knifes, and u could kill those little girls too,

havent heard that the developers of that game was sued for such gruesome thing,

and this something interactive, not a movie, and i have tons of examples where there are some gruesome games wich didnt had any problems for being sued.

because its a game, if u cant distinguish games from reality than u just not mature enough.

another flaw: TC:E != horror game. TC:E == Modern shooter. I cannot think of a terrorist group, even the most radical of radical, that would kill a mother and child. seperate? maybe, if the kid is older. but a BABY.

Dragon, nobody said anything about suing, but if you havent heard the news recently, ESRB was to lenient before, now they are making ratings stricter afte rthe GTA incident. Also, consider that TCE is built upon an American product by North American Standards. ESRB is who decides here not the other interactive media rating boards.

for evry reply i get about how unappropriate you think it is to have some gruesome effects added in game that sepose to be a realistic war/combat game, i will reply back with this quote

To point out to you, most NorthAmerican games do not go for the excessively violent with exception to a few games such as Condemend which have actually been banned because of being too violent.

For mods, the most violent and realistically gruesome mod is for CoD2 - however never did they even depict dead bodies of civilians especially women and children.

Another way to prove to you that it really isnt respectable for a game to depict something like that is by telling that to an America's Army admin - you will get flamed.

Also, with the recent school shootings happening more often, I doubt that a politician will simply ignore a move like that in the industry and potentially cripple it even more.
