the reason why the hip-aim isnt aiming towards 12 o clock, is because it sepose to have a crosshair. but devs removed the crosshair so making the hip-aim crooked isnt appropriate anymore.

and we arent gonna wat 1,5 anymore there will be an update very soon, dont worry.

hip aiming is still important. a soldier will more than likely leave thier weapon near thier hip instead of using the ironsights 24/7 our of stamina (it's harder to hold a weapon at your shoulder) and to improve his FOV (at a shoulder-ready position your right (left for southpaws ;) ) side of your vision is severely imapred.IMO, you are just arguing aabout something which my opinion, and htat of others, is fixed in concrete.

We cant have the iron sight aiming up all the way to the eye, the arms will come off. Believe me, these Quake models arent so flexible.

yes.. soldiers from the 30's but not modern day soldiers from the 20th century.

the reason why the hip-aim gun position is low because thats the remainings of ET, and TCE sepose to be a "modern combat shooter" and not a "WW2 shooter"

HAVING A GUN AT A SHOULDERED POSITION BLOCKS VIEW

this is important ESPECIALLY in CQB. if you have that little bit blocked, almost clear a room, but have one guy hiding beside you, you're dead. period. also, the models will fold like a pair of twos against a royal flush. there is no way to get around this until the ET engine is GPL'd. it would also take forever to put in. you'd need to
1. re-work the models completely (not that hard, really) skin them, then animate them (estimated time: 1-2 months for a complete re-work for one team (at the least) so about 5-8 months for the whole thing)
2. re-write a good 1000+ lines of code (about 2 months, give or take)
3. test for bugs, and write a good 100+ lines o' code to fix them (at LEAST 2 months for testing, given nothing goes wrong.(of which Mr. Murphy says no) a major bug would cause there to be a near-complete re-write of the code. so from 2-12 months, probably about 6)

and to put i t all together (barring major complications) 10-20 months.

another year wait would drive TT and G6S's reputation to the ground.chances are, a good chunk of the community would leave. (also remember that's not including bugfixes to existing problems, and the inevitable new features.)

no it wont block your view... if TCE had crosshairs, than yes it will block your view "of your crosshair"

but there is no CROSSHAIR ANYMORE

take a large book. stick it on your shoulder. tell me that doesn't block your view.

CHANGING THE MODELS TO LINE UP PERFECTLY IS IMPOSSIBLE. LIVE WITH IT.

*edit. mmkay, I was getting a bit mad there....

Changing the models/animations would be extremely hard, and take a very long time. it might even be enough to put TC:E out for good (see PoP and it's issues.)

does it look like RL, no. but it's a game. some things can't be changed. if you want, I'll get a SS of CoD, a REALISM GAME made by a MAJOR CORPORATION and how their ironsights line up. I know I'll be abl to get it monday. if I play my cards right, today.

the 30s? There was nolonger a main war featuring soldier srunning around in US military uniforms that frankly, FYI the image shows a WWII uniform. They run with the gun low because they are preparing for a bayonet assualt. It is much easier to use the bayonet with the gun low, they arent aiming the gun at all, but the bayonet. TCE is in the 80s, and it isnt the army or any regular military force.
