the sniper rifles are great in tc:e, but here are some minor things i want to say:
1. can there be a bipod on sniper rifles so that they can be deployed in prone position?
2. the m76 and psg1's rof is a bit slow, even for semi auto, maybe the rof coule be increased slightly?
3. the view through scope is greatly decreased, since its already obscuring the view around, why not make the scope view slightly bigger?
4. could there be like an upgrade where there could be like heat vision or night vision? plz?!!! :P :P :P :P :o

Oo0! Raven-Shield person here! Yay!

I do agree with bipods and rate of fire, but nightvision and heatscope is a bit over the top mate.

About simi-auto action of snipers thought - I think they should be fired as fast as possible, but climb and recoil accordingly, as in, if you dont get enough time to set the cross back to the assumed target, but pull the trigger it will fire higher, and higher etc.

:)

Yea, if you fired any faster, after a couple shots you would be shooting the sky. Any faster and it wont be accurate. The bipods arent a bad idea tho. It could increase accuracy/lessen sway in the prone position. What would really be cool, but i dont think could happen in this game, it should be in Americas Army but isnt yet, i think itll be soon tho, everyones always asking for it, you can actually fold the bipod in and out so im sure it would be possible, is the ability to rest bipods on objects, like ledges or cars or something while crouched or standing. But like i said, i dont know if its possible in this game. Unless there ends up being a bunch of dark/night maps, nightvision should be left out. In any case, thermal/heat vision should be left out.

Nightvision has been discussed on the main forums. Complete darkness can't be done, and it would be easy to cheat by simply skipping the goggles altogether and increasing brightness/gamma though driver settings, monitor controls, and external programs.

lol i am a ravenshield player :P.. yeah H22alude and Heretic are right.. night and heat vision sounds a lil far fetched, it would make players light up like beacons, making extremely easy kills... and as for bipod, it would be very nice, but if there isn't going to be one, then the sway should be reduced depending on stance, like most in standing, less in crouch, and almost none in prone. being able to deploy bipod in crouching is only available when some sort of ledge is near, like the top platform near specops spawn in village. rof in real life is completely dependent on your switchy fingers, but the developers probably had this in mind, and didnt want you to waste ammo. overall, i just don't think psg1 should be in tc:e. i know special forces are rich, but the psg1 i think is around ten thousand us?(sorry im not american...)plus, ive seen it, its just a heavily modified h&kg3 rifle!! btw heretic did you get the expansion pack?? :P :P :P

The dev's have stated several times on the main forums that they aren't going to do nightvision. There can't be total darkness with the ET engine, there is no dynamic lighting, it would be too easy to cheat by skipping the goggles and increasing the gamma, and I bet it would kill the framerate too.

Well, you made a point of continuing to talk about it... never mind.

As long as the sniper rifles are one hitters, I support nerfing the hell out of them in every possible way. They are cheap weapons, hurt gameplay, and really shouldn't even be on most of the maps we have now, even.

Besides, you don't need a bipod to shoot someone at 10 feet.

one of the devs noted that scale was a big problem. i wonder if that'll effect snipin? btw if sniper rifles aren't realistic, talk about the deagle and colt1911.

Or the shotguns too, I can snipe half way across a map sometimes with them!
