It's already in the WET engine, it's simply up to the mapper if he/she puts a breakable object (glass) in his map- and what exactly can break it.

just because the map maker was cruel, he makes the glass seem breakable. then draon throws a nade into it, but h cooked ti first. thinking it would break the glass and go in he turns around to move away. but then, it doesnt and bounces off at a 90 degree angles opposite directly towards dragons foot where he was about to step on. BOOM. just kidding. TCE should use a standard set of glass with different breakage times. Because there are some maps with glass that is obviusly not bullet proof but still takes over a hundred bullets to break.

look at this picture:

I allready can see by the looks/graphics of the clock,
that it is just a texture,

it would be realistic if the devs made that clock really work,
make it 3D, and if you shoot at it, the clock stops ticking,

even if is just a small litte thing, i personally think that it does gain the realism feel,

now if you check out example B. "the fuel tank",
i already know thats just a decoration,

so i have some idea's to make it alive,

why not be able to shoot at it, and make it explode?
and why not be able to pick it up and use it as an alternative weopon,

you can trow it to the enemy erea, aim and shoot at it, so it will explode,
it like a nade, but you have to do thing manually to make it explode.

but remember, when your holding an object,
you cant save it in your inventory, so when your holding that fuel tank,
and change another weapon, you automaticly drop the fual tank,

I think we said "no" on teh whole "objects as weapons" idea...

but, it's up to the mapper. and, clocks can be animated/breakable, but (as usual) it's up to the mapper.

yes in the main.forum,
not on this forum...

90% of all people on the main.forum are lame and stupid,
some are actually smart, and they have some intresting idea's,
but allot of them dont wanna discuss about it,
because all the dumb lamers will reply stupid comments,

back on topic:
be able to use objects as weopons is realistic,
and im not talking about bricks and big wooden boxes,

but stuff like that fuel tank, or extinguisher ect. ect.

if the devs made this possible,
it will increase the "realism factor"

I think that THE DEVS SAID NO on the main forum.

now, my question is, you are a soldier, a highly trained killing machine. (either side) you go in to clear a building and take hostages. are you gonna pick up a fire extinguisher and slap your enemy with it? no.

in RTCW they allowed you to pick up chairs, but that was in SP. if I see a dude with a fire extinguisher, I"m gonna aim for it, and make it blow up in his face. they removed the code for picking up stuff in ET. it would meen going over RTCW code till you find what it is, then porting it over, or just writing it yourself. there are other, more important things to do than make it so every dumb 10 year old can beat people with a fire extinguisher.anyone trained with any military experience will not use a fire extinguisher, gas tank, or any other improvised weapon. this includes the mercenaries.

thats not true,
what if a soldier wants to eliminate a enemy,
but the soldier has no knife,rifle,pistol, he doesnt have anything,
the only thing he can use is the fire extinguisher thats hangin on the wall,
you think he wont use it?

i think you dont know what your saying "it" serieus,
maybe you should stop watching cartoons on your t.v. and start watching discovery channel...

a soldier can adapt to the imvironment,
he can use any objects to take down a enemy,
you dont even have to be a trained soldier,
evryone could kill someone with objects,
what makes you think thats impossible?

and, how the hell could I walk into ANY games store (with enough money) and buy ohh, say, Splinter cell:pandora tomorrow.

to bring it to you easy, unlike the source engine where you can freely manipulate everything in the environment coz it uses the havok physics engine, that feature is not possible with the et engine and is also not possible with the doom3 engine. So face it, altough I want to hit a no0b on the head with the first 2x4 I find in the game, Ill have to do that somewehre else, like say, HL2 deathmatch.

again I will say it, HL2 lets you do that. but CS:Source doesnt. Pick up the fireextinguisher throw it at a zombie, then shoot it and watch'em sizzle.
