Very nice Rang3r1_v2. Where have You been in 2008 :(
Any chance to release it under GPL with separate textures to let any W:ET use it in own mods ?

Maybe CQB will include Your model :) As HMMWV is classic element of modern warefare.

How big (size) is md3 model and any chance to prepare low-poly to smooth include in pk3 maps to not have like oldtown map 100MB pack :(

MD3's are generally pretty small even with a large amount of polys or verts. Its only when you get into the animation side that the file sizes start to really rack up.

100MB oldtowne Pack ROFL!!!

So you would rather have 200 maps at 6MB vs 35 quality maps at 35MB?

The idea is to stop using the vanilla textures that were included in the original paks.

I found anyone that complains about the size of oldtowne whether it be file size or map size, doesn't appreciate the time and quality that went into it.

Honestly, I really don't understand how oldtowne got such a negative response. The only thing I can imagine is that I made it.

We have LAN parties all the time with the map and everyone loves it.

I've updated it with more details. I would release it to this community but then I'd hear more whining and complaining.

Back to the 100MB oldtowne statement, I wish someone released something that detailed. It would also provide a bunch of quality models and textures for potential maps.

I like it, and it is quite popular on PB BC server, rarely it gets "vote next map'd". Still in rotation. The map is quite large, after hundreds of games I still can't find my way through it. :D

If you have something new for it, you should release it also. My opinion.

With higher resolution custom textures (1024x1024) the .pk3 size could get to 60-70MB.
