if there is new version, maybe you guys should make it downloadable, at least to those who showed some interest. Downloading over 60mb's is quite much for some of us.

Here is the link to the latest one:

ps: This should be enough for 19+1 players right? (and /sv_maxrate should be set on 80000 ?)

Nice, downloaded it.
Can't wait to get trying it, sadly visiting pirate bay servers deleted my chances to try maps offline.

CQB compatible version:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14557267/cqb_skirmish.pk3

Take note, that some (official tce 0.49b) textures are missing and that two of my transparent glass shaders are (for some strange reason) nonfunctional.

cheers

ps: To test it, you will need the .222 "hacked by cqbdrug" version.

hey you got any screenshots? I don't have TC:E installed, just wondering where you're at with this thing ;)

Hi mr. Liquid! :)

The conversion is more or less finished. The map would clearly benefit from some additional "face lifting" because it is mostly still your brushwork (which tells a lot about the quality of the original map), but I don't have as much "gaming time" as I had a few years ago so I guess it will have to stay as it is now. Still I think it is quite decent looking for TCE, especially if you take into account that the majority of brushwork is from year 2001. :)
Also, the OBJ mission is pure fun! But unfortunately no server will host it as it is 60Mb big

here are the screens. Btw.. I can share the .map and textures if you wish.

hi sxy!

wow, that's awesome! i really like how you kept the original derelict industrial vibe in there, and the level is really complimented by the high res textures and the texture variety! (the original skirmish had only so many due to memory constraints).

it's really cool for me to see someone from the community pick this up after all this time :) unfortunately, i'm really tied up which keeps me from working on any hobby projects. i have been working full time on my own indie production and I got no money coming in ;)

great job :)

Awesome job!
Love it already. Nice textures indeed.
I might test it with you sxy if you dont mind.
Found some minor textur errors but no big deal.

Keep up the good job,
Darkwing

Thanks! I've always been fan of grungey looking industrial maps :)
I hope your indie project goes well :)

Darkwing - Thanks! :) I know that there are multiple texture bugs (I always forget some of them when in gtkradiant) and there are a few lightbleeding issues as well. But I'm too lazy to fix this atm. :) About testing the map - I'm afraid I don't have a lot of time for such things right now (have to study for a big uni exam), but maybe I could find some time this saturday evening. Add me on xfire - sigmaxy

cheers!
