Hello everyone, I just left a post on the General thread about returning to TCE. (I was playing ET for sometime, but now I'll try TCE again.)

This time, I'm very interested in mapmaking; I have learned a little about it during the last few months (I have an alpha version ET map made with gtkradiant 1.4 ready to submit) and I would like to try making maps for TCE.

Of course, I need help.

I noticed some threads with mapping tutorials. I'll check those out. But, I would greatly appreciate one or more of you TCE mapping gurus to take me under your wing and point me towards the best software, prefab generators and textures sites, and share with me your practical mapmaking tips.

Please PM me with your advice.

Cheers, everyone, see you on the battlefield!

Thanks Ed. This map is for TC:E and TC:CQB btw. :D

There is a large amount of detail I have to finish, then I will release the first alpha. Hopefully it fairs better than OldTowne did.

Keep an eye for CQB, I believe OldTowne would play out great with a multiple life game objective.

Also, the ship map looks great, can't wait to see more.

BetaVersion, if you have any mapping questions don't hesitate to ask here on the forums in case anyone else encounters similar problems.

ED, for a second I thought that signature pic is a shot of Oompa-Loompas.
