There was a small public alpha that did not get a lot of support, so development ended a few years back.
So to answer your question in a nutshell: yes, it is dead.

I'm a CoD4 player and seeing that there is a True Combat mod for CoD4. Is MWTC dead? Does Coroner consider developing MWTC mod further? Offtopic: I might be able to make my own version of MWTC (openwarfare and custom models from CFGFactory). I have some experience with modding CoD4. So remaking MWTC is not very hard for me. |

MWTC didn't succeed coz it isn't free u need to have original cd-key and game is not unlocked for pirate servers. (I think this is more up to server admin (I forgot it lol)) Game also doesn't feel like TCE and have some features locked that we most like at TCE. |

If you look closer, he said Quake 3 engine, not game and he is right. And one of the problems with CoD4 modding is it's community, even though it's still large a lot of excellent mods just aren't getting the deserved attention. |

To be honest, CoD4 modding community and community in general is almost dead. That's the reason the mod didn't get any attention (btw moddb still exists and CFGFactory is still kicking) If i was given the source code of MWTC, i would develop it further. I mean im noob at cod4 modding but i know important basic stuff
