You can mark in options/video the "specular maps" as "yes".


And if what Denner posted doesn't help, you can always do what I did.

First erase any trace of True Combat in the mods folder.

Install this file first.

I do hope your not suggesting to leave the lean alone. I will reiterate my opinion that the True Combat: Elite lean is quite superior as far as game play is concerned.

Also, sadly, but some people have already got their hands on a wallhack. Just when I thought things were going to start off right! aaarrrgghhh :roll:

I do not blame you. Just an opinion said. I thought that this game is "true combat" + mod that makes the game to be like "kod4", but in fact the opposite. I would not want to install pirated software on Linux. That's why I'm upset.

I don't know if this is a known thing, but I just played a few rounds with the new patch and there was a little hole in my USP .40 when I started walking, I could look right through it:

I like the fact that gun is disabled while you jump but I walked sideways of a curb while shooting and i couldnt shoot anymore.. There is couple of spots like this but you probably already knew..

Yes, I was to quick with releasing a patch :) Internally, the jump/airborne detection is fixed already.

Another thing I noticed: If I want to join a game, the server browser now correctly only shows TC servers. But if I switch to my "favourites" it still lists my favorite CoD4-non-TCE -Servers.

Hello!

Tested the mod a few games..

Looks promising.

It has the T:ce feeling already building in it with improvements of graphics ofcourse and hitboxes, etc etc..

Opinions:

1. No aspect ratio? I have 24" and everything just looks MASSIVE, hard to get a grip on your environment in game. Tried 16:9, 16:10, no effect.
2. Gun going away after jump/prone is a nice idea, it incorporates a slower game pace and tactical warfare, however, 2 seconds and 1 second delay is too long. I could do 2 pushups after the prone key is pressed :D. Animations dont make sense either in the delays. Removal of gun should not be incorporated during crouch/uncrouch. Pretty sure anyone can do a squat while holding 40lbs dumbbells. So a trained professional shouldnt have to put his gun away in order to crouch/uncrouch.

Personal note:
Figured you'd release Delta, since it was mostly 'testable' for the tce players. Why'd you not release it? And freelancer mappers are still around (:D) their just looking for 'free' time and motivation.

You could try making the FoV higher. Unless something has been changed it is defaulted to 65 (amazingly, stupidly low). Open the console and write "/cg_fov 80". Yup, 80 is max (still not really high enough for me). It helps me, as some things on default FoV look just unreasonably huge.

I have a problem, when browsing the internet servers with gamemode set to "all" and all filters disabled the game still isn't showing a single server. I can see it refreshing ~5K CoD4 servers in the background but nothing TC specific comes up even after they've all been refreshed.ž


EDIT:
Ok, I figured it out. All servers were enabled in MWTC but since it hides some of the CoD4 options (mod filters, HC filters and so on) which were disabled in my main CoD installation, this affected the TC server browser and hid those as well.

The same goes for luka's problem. Coroner's "TC" only server tweak affects the CoD installation and filters out other servers. The real fix would be to help the game distinguish the mod search/filter settings from those of the game.

There is a bug in the map backlot reported by a player in which you can see through the sill of one of the windows and watch the other side of the building where it is. Here are the pictures to help you understand what I mean. The first is the window observed at some distance, and second is the observation through the sill thereof. You have to crouch to see.

The server filter can not be further improved due to the way how cod4 handles the filters.

It is recommended to start the mod directly with a shortcut, it always works for me then, I also experienced anomalities when switching to the mod from vanilla cod4.
In vanila cod4 'reset' is the solution, in doubt 'reset' also helps in MWTC, when having switched from vailla cod4 via the UI.

Hello,

It's not really a bug report, but I don't know where to post this.
I've tried the mod. So I was alone on the map, because there is no one.
Mouvements looks good, game is slower than cod4, and choice of class is easy.

But I dislike this mod for now, because I really don't feel like TCE gameplay.
Prioritary, there is not the same feeling about lean left and lean right.
In cod, lean is not apparent.
In TCE, there is an inclination (pitch attitude ) of Horizon, at it's far better.

So I'm first a TCE player, and would like to find same gameplay, because there is no game like this one.

Thank for your great work however.
