As far as I have noticed, there hasn't been any change in the activity of the game for a long time.
Activity on these forums have increased.

Somewhere Coroner or somebody replied to the question "why don't you make it open source?" but i can't find the answer.
So does anybody know why?

heehee... this would be a awesome soundtrack for CQB :) not sure how much are you authorized to use it though. It may kinda seem as imitating, but I'm just sayin'...

If you want something like that, jsut take any of Joe Satriani's stuff. He has a multitude of riffs like that and most are really high quality stuff.

I liked everything what coroner wrote in his blog :) except this 2 lines
-Only Bodycount (TDM)
-Game is locked to sv_pure 1 and sv_official 1

Is this just for Alpha version ? and will change when it come to beta ?

We need OBJ and mods and maps (hope coroner will also fix CTF)

If the game is not instantly moddable it will be at some point, i think.

Heh we waited one year, soon it ends :D some way weird. I dont feel its that much long time ago when CQB was anounched.


Just one question. Since there is higher requirements for GPU, does this mean there has happened some code change? I dont know/believe/remember that WET/quake 3 engine supports GPU accelration, or is there something else behind :? ?

locked to sv_official 1? thank god coroner mad this decision, id dont have to pick official servers anymore their all official, "no crappy 3rd party maps anymore" well... this just an alpha, i hope the sv_official 1 lock will also be for the official release, its also good for new players, they dont have to play on those ugly crappy 3rd party maps anymore, so the game looks better, "better representation for new players..."

I dont think coroner can craft even 1 map per month in the same quality as the test map is (or even want to ?), i doubt that we could enjoy too long of CQB.

Alpha release is very good news!

I would say the major point of having locked sv_pure and sv_official are for accurate bug reports, feature testing, etc.; as for most modders it will be a better idea to wait for at least beta in order to get "feature complete".

I, for one, am most anxious to see how the new aiming system will feel!

oookay, something's finally happening again :) anxiously waiting for the release of TC:CQB

Maps were crappy, but I for one greatly appreciated the Sig550 fix :P If any maps will be made in the future, let's hope the official TC:E maps get a remake. Maybe modders will re-create maps from other games, that have a similar "feeling".
Wth, Favela from MW2 just HAS TO BE remade for CQB :D I saw Vacant on some TC:E servers, too. The only thing that's wrong with it, is that Terrors can camp on roof xD otherwise a decent 3rd party map.

Wonder what a outdoor map in the woods would be like in CQB... I remember one, that was in jungle, but there was not enough cover, and was too sniper oriented... The dark forest map on the other hand was pretty cool... You didn't need much cover, cause ppl barely saw you. Just had to get the hang of it.
