Post subject:  Sniper Aim

When using the sniper on aim mode you can see around you (in real life you see double when scoping with both eyes open). So my idea is that when you are aiming with the sniper your focus is blurry( inside the scope), after a few seconds (when u stay in the same place) all around you becomes darker( around the scope), and then completely black (That means the eye that is not scoping is closed) so from that moment the scope should be focused and you can see correctly. *If any of you didn’t understand IL try to make a pictures to show what I mean.*

I know what you mean, but I just don't think it's necessary to modify something that is just going to be a hassle to the player. And I don't understand why you would look through the scope with both eyes open.

Then again, maybe I don't know what you mean and you might just have to clarify your idea with some pictures. :P

This is how the scope is in TCE 0.48...

1-This is how it should be...

This is how it is when u just clicked the aim button with the sniper
( black stuff in the pic is " BLUR ")

2-Then when u aim for about 4sec or more and stay in the same place the scope should look like this...

I don't see how that would be realistic. I've shot a variety of sniper rifles and that's almost nothing like it. If you're an expert marksman, much like a Spec Ops. fighter would be, locking onto a target can be as easy as aiming hesitating for about a second and firing.

Though your idea can be modified. I have an idea simliar to your but allow me some time to illustrate it.

Okay, well here's a pic that will slightly explain what I want.

Notice how it's dark around the scope and kind of blury (can't really tell because of the lack of detail in the pic.) That would kind up the realism just a tad.

Notice how it is kind of dark on the outer part of the scape, kind of similar to what's on the outside.

I can't really explain what I want because of this pictures lack of detail. :P

I'll find another picture and edit that to show you what I want.

Did you guys really need a diagram to get that? It is the exact same thing being said in all those other posts about the sniper scope and blurring the FOV on the sides.

Shooting someone in the pelvic is a sure way of making them bleed to death and prevents them from moving around.

I wouldn't go for the butt. if it's a guy, go for the, erm, sensitive spots :oops:

then give him a dirty book. the blood will rush south, and he'll bleed out...

on topic: I like both, but I like SC's just a little more...I know it's do-able with the alternate fire thingy, because in ET the scope had the outer edge blocked, so if there was a way to cross irons code with scope code...
