I didn’t see anything about system requirements for 0.49 on the site, if there are then slap me :( … Well I just wanted to know if ill be able to play without lag on my pc like I did with 0.48 (before my pc became "WAKO").

I have an AMD Duron processor (equivalent of a Pentium 3) 448mb ram and a 128mb graphic card…

I don't know how outdated this may be (or if this is for 0.49 - if not, I'd assume requirements just slightly higher), but for Win...

# Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000 or XP (If you have NT then you should really upgrade)
# Pentium III 600 Mhz processor or equivalent.
# 128 MB RAM.
# 32 MB OpenGL compliant 3D video card.
# DirectX 8.1.
# 750 MB free hard disk space. (200MB for ET and 500MB for TC:E)
# 56.6k modem or better Internet connection. Broadband recommended for games with more than 8 players.

I just follow the "if you can run .48 decently, you can do .49" rule

But you have to think of the new enhancements too (although, you can prolly turn them off if you need to).

Ya I read somewhere the flashy stuff can be turned off.

Thank goodness because all I have at the moment is a GeForce 2 MX200 with 32 MB RAM.

My CPU is AMD Athlon 900 (getting a 1500 from a friend soon) and my RAM is 512, so Im good there, but not great. :? I cant wait for my new CPU! Its good to have friends who upgrade often and dont want their old parts. :D

Yeah, I wish my friends were like that.... if that were the case I'd have an Athlon64, a GeForce 7900, a water-cooling kit, and 2gb of dual-channel memory..... 'sigh'......

TCE will be the only game that has simulated HDR that runs with those rigs. This is a reason (the lowend pcs) why modders are important to gaming.

Thats true Xeno, we cant all run the latest and greatest.

This game is on a Quake 3 engine, but still looks amazing and most important ...

I can run it ! :D

I hope.

It will. the general support section stikies are always up to date with Cor and TT. The sytem requirements stated there are updated for the HDR and new graphics.

Well, in this case you might want to fix it and upgrade later so that you can enjoy TCE's new features which will need decent enough hardware from 4 years ago. The GeForce4 and ATI8 series cards are sufficient.
