Hello everyone. I just wanted to say that I have released a small PHP program that can be used to query a True Combat server and show information on the server settings as well as the players connected. This is the first release so if people could try it out and give feedback on bugs, suggestions, color schemes, etc. that would be great. You can find information on it here:

http://www.rivetcode.com/software/tcstats/

Thanks!

thats great.. its just too bad the devs didnt include something like that in game so you can easily tell who is playing on the server. With the small population, you will immediately know if there are any @$$holes in the server and completely avoid them.

try to develop a program to invite your friends/tce buddy's to a server,
but to do this, you have to make evryone sign up a ?TCE? acount or something. include a instant messenger, so you can pm your tce buddy's
if you succeed to develop something like that,
there's a big chance that the devs are gonna hire you.

I could try that when I start learning VBS. But why bother creating a game finding with a friend tracker if there is already an XFire to do that for you.

Check it out, abstract... it makes no sense once you see it, but if you think good enough and long enough and open up your mind, you might understand what I mean by this.

whats wrong if TT has his own produtions,
besides, they could like fuse the program, and build it inside the game, so your able to use teamspeak, with out downloading any tools,
but you cant do that with Xfire, thats why having a own program is way better, you can tweak it, change, costumize it, do whatever you want,
+ you can match the program's interface with tce's theme.

you can skin XFire to look like TCE. They all ready have an internal broswer the problem is I dont think the current one supports tracking of players because people can play this game online andjust play unlike other games where they have to register first.

thats why i use Qtracker,
you can add players that dont have Qtracker.
you cant do that with Xfire, you can only add Xfire members,
and thats why, Xfire sucks.

but what Xfire can do Qtracker cant. Xfire has chat, voice chat, screenshot mnager, auto patcher, download systems, ingame integration to thousands of games, auto join support, basic stats tracker etc. Qtracker cant beat that because its only a server and player tracker.

yess with Qtracker you can track players,
players that dont even use Qtracker,

if you use Xfire, you can only track the players if the player has Xfire too.
thats why i dont like Xfire,

suit yourselves then. Besides, not everyone has to use it because its optional. Thatll probably be good for xfire's millions of registered players because it will make sure that the xfire service doesnt get to cramped up.

-I dont know I never tried CnC Renegade before, but now I know its really cool-

Yeah, I think XFire is probably your best bet. I am thinking about making a stats logging program though so that you can see your kill to death ratio and so on. I'll probably wait til 0.49 is out though.

On a side note:

If anyone has any screens or a working version online it would be great if you could post em so I could take a screenshot and show it actually working. I don't have enough computers to show that there are more than one person playing here on my testing machine. ;)

Thanks.
