Teamspeak is good enough.

serieus... usualy i ignore post's that doesnt make sense,
but ill post the reply to this,

what does team speak have to do with my suggestion?

i think when a match ends, there should be a number counting from 10 to 0
so in the 10 seconds you can quikly type what you wanna say to evryone,
after that, a new match starts again,

because currently the chat system sucks, sometime i type a very long text, before i know it, the map has been changed, and i have to type evrything all over again.

so, there should be a number counting from 10 to 0, before the match starts, or before the maps is gonna be changed,

and the READY button can be removed, is useless,

i tried to understand your post,
and here's your answer:

there are people using teamspeak... and there are people using chat,
so you have to understand that not all people use teamspeak,

you cant force evryone to use teamspeak, actually more than 70% of all players dont use teamspeak,

Can you prove your statistics? Where did you get 70% and how do you know? Did you ask all of them?

oh, and upon furter review of your last post I have formed this opinion:

the ready button is, in fact VERY important. if for some demented reason, a retard server admin had the between match break more than 30 seconds (I"ve seen it.) if at least 75% (ish?) of the people on the server hit ready, the match goes to warmup right away.

next he's gonna say that warmup time is useless

voice-chat=not good.
voice-chat=another server to deal with.
another server=lag
lag=not good.

therefore:
voice-chat=not good.

'nuff said. I'll stick to binding key statements to my team VIA console.

Well, instead of showing a boring warmup, playing an FMV of troops being dropped off is better. Ocourse, someone will have to make it. If I had 3dsMax and Character animator right now I can do that.

and you can do the statistics yourself:
you can ask the people on some servers if they use team speak, there allot of people that dont use them, only some few clan servers,
but try to ask them, because thats kinda my prove.

how come allot of reply's you post doesnt make sense,
it seems your hatred on me, makes you not think clearly,
your talking gibberish, the READY button dont even work.

look im not saying you always have to agree with me,
but what i want you to do is think deeply before you post,
im more older and wiser than you it, and im not saying that to annoy you,
but im saying that to help you and give you a good advice how to prevent posting useless/garbage/senseless/no point, reply's

im not that predictable like you, and some other people on this forum,
you and some other people on this forum, post things senseless,
more offtopic flames that doesnt makes sense, just to try to kill some of my good suggestions, and thats starting to get predictable,

i never saw a very good point on some of your reply's
the only one that make some sense and point, is xeno,
although sometimes he "fellow travels" and change up his mind very quikly.
but still.. he gives some good comments, besides that /per vertex/and how long its gonna take to make that/ whining, but he doesnt do that anymore, sinds i told him its very annoying.

No dragon, seriously, alot of your posts dont make any sense. Not that we hate you, I know some do, but alot of your posts really dont make sense. They may make sense to you because you wrote them in the first place but to the rest of us, you have to remember, our style of grammar and english is more North American than dutch, so if what you were writing made sense in the Netherlands, remember that it may not make any sense in other countries, especially in other continents.

And about that pervertex animation thing, that is actually the ONE of the MANY MAJOR problems why the devs really cant implement some of your more farfetched suggestions. Even though some of those really need to b fixed like the ladder glitch where your still climbing the ladder although youve reached the top. It would be good if they fixed that but the thing is, it just cant, its hotwired in the engine and its a thing that nobody alive on this world can fix. Another thing is, idSoftware may have intentionally removed that ability from the Quake3 engine since they did remove it completely from the code (skeletal animation support which is needed for MoCap to fix alot of animation and model glitches)

Now if it was something like... Battlefront II, then it would be more of an issue. But BF II has a better engine for physics like that as opposed to the ET Engine, unfortunantly.

the chatting system is fine actually. Waht needs to be done is fix it to prevent ghosting in anyway possible. Ofcourse, we cant stop them from just talking.

Author:  Silentcrisis [ Mon Apr 17, 2006 5:21 pm ]
Post subject:

It should just be a forum rule. That if you think someone is ghosting, you report them to the server admin. and they will take care of it.
