I just post my opinion, and support it with what I know. in this case, I know einstien's theories on gravity (newton came up with it first, but as all college students will learn, he is almost always wrong)

no matter how well trained ou are, there is NO WAY to prevent one of teh most fundamental laws of physics. NO WAY AT ALL.

lets just get this simulated in Halflife2, who ever has a copy and know how to use Hammer, youd be helpful.

leaning on A belcony fence like i suggested:
impossible or possible?
see it yourself

are they carrying heavy guns? wearing heavy safety lifesaving equiptment? are they carrying lots of ammo and supplies on thier backs? no.

another thing, they are holding on. this allows more support of the body, and helps keep control of the center of gravity. with a fuflly loaded M16/AK-47 (especially the AK) you

1. lose the ability to hold on to the railing and support yourself

and
2. shift your center of gravity past the railing, which ends up in a fall.

he is right. and lets face it, a trained soldier wont be that dumb to put himself in a position where he will be open for the enemy to shoot at him even if that position gives him flanking advantage, this is not the middle ages, this is not melee combat, the enemy uses guns and guns are not affect by flanking in that kind of situation because, with guns, you chances are the smae, its just who shoots first.

like i said,

i did lean like this

while holding A supersoaker like this

i did lean like this, with out holding anything

when i whas high after smoked A real DUTCH weed,

so you guys still think its impossible?

uh, you were holding something that isnt something the expect "persons" who would be leaning will be holding. If you could get your hands on something similar to the real stuff, like a properly weighted prop m16, complete with properly weighted prop battle uniform (armor, vests, helmet) plus a complete set of the exact supplies a soldier carries with him, then try to do that again. Give us a video with all these stuff then we will believe you.

If you were high at that time, how are you so sure how exactly you were positioned? you could have just dreamed it. if your friends told you, they couldnt have got a good look at it since (either they were high too or your view was obscured by the fence)

im gonna search through google for yall,

funny though, i can look up on the internet, with out proving it with any picture/video i made myself.

The laws of gravity arent applied to well in the W:ET engine. Youcould go to od unussual and impossible places and positions without falling since the game doesnt have a decent physics engine and gravity simulation. What it does have is something that holds players down and thats about it.

Explain water then, that's where you have 0 gravity, well almost 0.

that is just a simple physics engine trick, just drop the gravity to zero when in water, and to 100% when on land. If there really was a realistic physics engine, not everything that went in the water will sink, and doing dragon's move will cause you to fall.

ok guys, know what,
im gonna improve evrything that went wrong,

it whas the drawing that made Xenokiller think you could fall down,
but it whas just an example,

but some people take raw sketches examples serieusly,

so im gonna re-explain my idea to improve the "looking-down-system"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"i cant look down clearly when im on A railing"
this is the best solution is:

I have A solution for this issue,

when people are near A edge, like point A.
they should see A action icon,
like the "pick up weopon" "open the door" action icons...

when when they select the action icon,
that will lock them self into A position
wich only allow them to, look left, right, up,
and to look down more better,
just like when you're using the machine gun in ET.
and if they wanna unlock themself from that postion, they should just walk backwards,

now lets say the current "looking-down-system" is example Example A.
your limited to look down clearly.
now like i suggested,
there should be A action icon when you near A edge,
when you select the action icon, you will lock your self to a position that makes you look down more better, like example B.
you can look up down left right, and your still able to move
left sidewards, right sidewards,
while you do all that you're still in A "locking-down-system"position,
to unlock yourself from the "look-down-system" position,
just move backwards,

---------------------------------------------------------------------

now you guys will understand me fully.

picture B is correct and possible, but the other pictures arent. you torso doesnt lean a full 90 degrees down, only a little, the head does the rest of the turning, but still, even if you did that, you still cant see directly 90 degrees beneath you, unless the ledge and the whole balcony was either made of glass or grating.
