Hey that would be a great idea... And i dont think it would be that hard to invert the side of you're weapon...

it's possible, but it would be tricky for the models, because for every right-handed 1st person, there also has to be a left-handed one.

otherwise it would look creepy...

maybe near the end, as in .60, for a feature like this, seeing as it is more eye-candy, but could also be useful.

the problem with that is the models. Sure it is simply moving the gun to the other side but if you havent noticed, the arms have always been in those positions since Quake3 they simply arent as movable as the arms in more modern games like FEAR and Battlefield

I didn’t see it that way, but you’re probably right…

a game developer has to be efficient, this idea is unefficient,

most soldiers are right handed and not left handed, more than 95% of the hole entire human population are right handed,

so its not even worthy to add this in the game
and its not worth the time,

whats really worthy is to change the f.cking models!!
and change the weopon positions like i suggested in this thread:
http://www.truecombat.us/forums/viewtop ... 59&start=0

cause the current models looks like:

You have to wait until they do work on it andthey will. Rightnow what is important is getting the remainins planned features out and working 100%.

Actually... the average is 15% of the population of earth are left handed... not 5%... you probly made a type with the 95% and ment 85%.

As a left handed person this has always been a bitch for me in games... and makes a difference.

I personally... would love to see left handed people in this game! But not so importantly for shooting and knifing as I think throwing grenades left handed... or being able to do it ambidextrously would be awsome.

Not all corners are on the right side of you... and I hate having to completly expose myself to throw a nade around a left corner.

You have a point with the nade throwing and the corner but the trick there is to lean the the left and stand back a few feet away from the corner to toss a nade and let it ricochet of the wall around the corner.

but i maybe misunderstooth wastedzombied, did he mean that you should be able to switch the nade to your left hand?

You could always just roll the nade if you are using the weaker hand. Then again a soldier can train to be ambidextruos.

Yeah, an under hand pitch/lob/roll with the left hand might be kinda cool... of course this might require an additonal key to select the opposite hand.

Just some way of throwing left handed... especially on the new Railhouse map! I have my reasons...

I think Tiburon has a good point. Why should people be limited to being a right handed man in all games. Is it because you are biased to those who more proficient with their left anterior limb appendages. I find that offensives! Its about time that the left handed people have an option to be left handed in their video games.

because thats the most efficient way,

what your suggesting is the same thing like having models with an amputated left/right arm in the game. you'd probably find it offensive too for not having amputated people in the game

je bent een waardeloze stomme sukkel,

^^and that was dutch^^ i was saying that you are cool but sometimes stubborn.

As a left-hander, I have to say that using my right hand and having a right-handed model in games doesn't bug me, I've always used the mouse with my right hand, same with writing (but only because when I was taught to write I wasn't aware that I was left-handed, and was told I was using the wrong hand ).
Other than using a computer, I do everything else with my left hand. Sure, right-handers are supposed to "live longer", but left handers are generally more creative and better thinkers (maybe that's why I can be born in the South and not be a redneck :P).
