UPDATED @ Tue Nov 12, 2013
Server admins should redownload

--------------------------

Hey,

After looking at ET source code for a few hours I realised that serverlist can be "fixed" with a simple pk3 file. The serverlist problem (empty servers not visible) is fixed by modifying menu scripts to use updated command to get master server list.

Only thing is that you have to refresh the list from the button first to get full list and you may see duplicates of servers (but who cares???). For a proper fix ET or TC:E source code needs to be modified with one line of code.

If you see "Refresh List" instead of "Refresh List!" it means you have already a file which is overriding this menu script. Try to remove old .pk3 files you don't need.

Download the fix from here and place in tcetest folder or join at one of my servers to download it (sniper only, ctf server etc).

Nice Jussi.

Lolz it's one word that needed to be added to the code ;-)
Saw the code on Github and that was the first thing I was looking for
to change. Made a server browser in php this week for a web widget
for the TC website (displays TCE,CQB,Q3TC servers).

Let me see if it always does the duplicate servers, else
put the servers in an array and with each server it adds,
check the array first to see if it ain't there already.

Hi Stealth

I'm glad to see you here. Don't seems a problem with my firewall, because I granted full acces to et.exe. Really, I don't know from where begin search for a fix to this problem in my machine.

Denner try checking your host file ( C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc ) ive alot of funky stuff going on in my one, things blocked, things redirected, mappings of IP addresses to host names. its just a text file. if yours hasnt been messed with it should look like

# Copyright (c) 1993-2009 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
# 127.0.0.1 localhost
# ::1 localhost

I did have a similar issue a while ago, in the end i had to remove all trace of tce from registry and clean uninstall/reinstall of tce.
