Hi all,

I thought you might be interested what I have been up to the past 14 months. We just announced our indie project, Final Run for iOS. It's a 3rd person driving action game, with vehicular combat, zombie killing, a frantic mode racing over mined roads. It was developed for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

If you're into TrueCombat's visual style or liked my old maps, I think you should definitely pick it up, since I designed all the levels and made the art for the entire game. It's story driven single player :)

We will be releasing mid-February depending on the submission time! There's a project page here: http://www.rotorgames.nl/finalrun/

Thanks Baal! We looked at many games from those days, Carmageddon 1 and 2, Vigilate 8, Interstate 82 :) The game is quite casual but it can be enjoyed as a hardcore game as well if you want to get all the goals. I think it's a good mix, personally :)

So, how did your project go? Did you get some sales that are quantifiable in 7 digit numbers maybe? :>

Also, do you have any further plans? Sorry, I just love to hear when indie developers do stuff - makes me want to do stuff too.

Hey, thanks for your interest! The project went really great, it was awesome to do. Unfortunately, it's really tough as indepedent developer and self publishing, so we didn't get the return we had hoped for.

I'm doing some freelance work right now to get some cash flowing, do hope to get back to game dev real soon, can't go without :) I'll be trying smaller and bigger things, the later depending on sales, thumbs crossed :)

Definitely pick up Final Run, it's only a couple of bucks, it's got 19 massive 3D levels which I designed and did all the art for. I'm on twitter and facebook as RotorGames, check it out :)

Ah yes, the bane of indie developers - publishing. I'd like to get Final Run but... *Looks at phone* Well, it isn't what you'd call an iPhone (it's actually not a smart phone and I'm not planning to get one anytime soon) so, unfortunately it's a no-go for me.

However, I wish you luck! If I cannot support an indie developer with my money, then I have to support them somehow otherwise.

Thanks man!

It's nice to check back here from time to time. When I get into a more financially stable situation, I might be able to get to some more TC:E like stuff. I'll try to look into freeing up some level sources for the community once I get the luxery of spare time back in my life :P
