..or people just continue to complain over and over about stuff they have no control over instead of just enjoying the game with the rest of the community.

There was no all-in-one installer because it was against ET's copyright to bundle it with TCE. This isn't some new revelation that whoever created it came up with. It was discussed within the team years ago - and to my knowledge we never did it because of this.

I'm going to sound very blunt here - but so be it. If you are not happy with aspects of TCE - then by all means do what you can for it. But please do not come preaching to the forums about what people should or should not be doing.

Everyone in this community does what they can for the game - either by hosting files, servers, making maps, content, etc. Sure not everyone does that - but what everyone DOES do is play it regularly. And that is what keeps a game alive - players. Whether it be 1000 or the "150" you are complaining about - it's still people.

And I personally think having a steady daily total of 150 players when this game hasn't been updated in 3 years - and it's a mod on the ET engine - is pretty darn impressive.

(instaler)you couldnt do this as grove six, thats ok. someone from comunity couldnt pack it in rar or something daa

it became a closed comunity not willing to accept fresh blood it seems, thats what amazes me! dont you want to see full servers? how long could you play same maps over and over with same models and same guns. something moved but im wondering how long will it last =)

nvm i love this game and wont let it die so fast

Wow so many posts to read, so much love 4 TCE. :D
I would like to sudjest 3 things to help the comunity.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1 For 1 day a week we post we use our XFire Status to link to a TCE PAGE

2 That page contains the following
i, Links to a all in one TCE installer (MU ect), and the normal install files
ii, An embedded FUNNY & INSTRUCTIONAL movie introducing TCE and how to play Obj

3 The Setting up of a Freindship Lans type server, a kind of kindergarten, the word Freindship means alot to me, and im guessing to other players too.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a clear plan with clear objectives, namely to promote TCE, and to give a clearly defined route for new players to have access to TCE.
It also shows a strong community led approch to TCE.
If theres enough backing for this, then lets roll it till April, and look at the situation.

I offer what ever abilitys I have for this, hope u will do the same :D

No one should force the community to do anything - especially silly things.

I can guarantee every person who plays TCE has told at least a few of their friends about this game - and maybe even some of them dled the game.

That's the best advertising there is.

A lot of people just want to play the game - not become part of some huge online e-chain letter scheme lol

Wooooohooo hold your horses there D

I was only making a sudjestion to the community, with clear objectivs, and not sitting around lementing its fall.

As you are PR for this game it realy should fall into your reemit to encorage sudjestions, and ways of making this game accessible to a wider audence.

In terms of using xfire, isent that just what the ads at the top do.

Theres noting wrong with promoation :D

I encourage all suggestions, and whatever anyone wants to do - I support them. But I do not support people putting pressure on other people that they should follow suit is not my idea of PR.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm sure every player who has ever played this game has participated in word of mouth. Some people just want to play the game and enjoy it - and some don't want to feel like it's mandatory to participate in it's upkeep.

If you can show me where I posted the word 'mandatory' or even implied such a action, I will gladly correct it.

But that was not the tone I was aming for.

You have also failed coment on the the other two parts of my suggestion.
both of which would relay on new users been made aware that there is a site to visit. :?

As for word of mouth, that is the greatest recamondation, no question. the problem is nobodys talking. :(

How can you be sure of that? Because there isn't an influx of new players? How can you even gauge that unless you are on every server 24/7 watching people's IP's and GUIDS - or checking how many times the game has been downloaded from this site - or others - in the past month.

If you were reading, you'd see the problem isn't getting new players - it's keeping them. That's the real problem.

And if you are hell bent to "save" TCE - you might as well stop wasting your time and put it to better use by making this game more user friendly - and keeping the servers clean with players who are noob friendly.

Do u have thoese stats, id think it would be usfull, to know.

Of course I have stats regarding this site, but do I really need to show them to you..?

But I'm really done having this discussion with you because it's literally like talking to a brick wall - in more ways then one.

If you would like help in promoting TCE, I'd be glad to suggest some sites and give you proper media for it - but I just ask you to stop being preachy on the forums for what people should and shouldn't do.

It gets old and for the new people that do come to the site - why would they bother even giving the game a try when they read threads like this about people whining the end of TCE is near because no one does anything?
