Just a quick "Hello!" to everyone. I played a bit of ET a few years back, and now I'll be trying TCE. First Impression of TCE vs ET... The weapons feel, look, act and sound better than in ET.

See you on the maps...

Welcome aboard! I hope you are patient enough to give TCE big chance - I also have found TCE after few years of playing only ET, and now I focus only on TrueCombat: Elite :)

Few tips for better gameplay:
1. Drink alcoholic beverages before, during and after playing TC:E.
2. Try to smoke with both hands during playing, your technique in aiming will develop.
3. Try to join TS where everyone does the same as tips 1 and 2.
4. Play only as recon, rush with mp5 or mac10, don't aim, kill from close distance.
5. Start playing at middle of the night and continue to the morning, watch few pornographic movies after playing.

All these tips I got from RaoulDuke aka. gonzo|Init, and now I'm almost at the top, it took only 3 and half years.

Few good drinks with TCE:

1. Beer (everything is good if it got enough alcohol)

2. Dark Rum (Ron Zacapa Centenario is good), this is used as a snack.

3. Gin&Tonic, do A LOT of this, make it as dry as you can and drink it from hi-ball glass. Many people say that it should be iced, TC:E G&T isn't that cold and don't use lime, just scratch some orange peel in it, I would say 0.75litres of good gin, like Beefeater and only 2dl of Tonic is good. DRY AS HELL, fits in good.

4. Camp Grenada ala Uncle: Shake this well, I mean like tears in your eyes. Just normal Campari Bitter is fine, and remember not too much grenadine in it, makes it taste like shit. I prefer just normal Sprite with it, not 7up, pineapple juice but change the grapefruit away, and put some normal sugar in it, makes you play better in NorthPort.

5. Godfather: Mix this before you start playing bad, it should be ready for you, when the rush fails. I would say that more whiskey (cheap whiskey, like JimBeam) than almondliqueor, Amaretto Di Saronno is the best for sure, and is quite cheap also.

6. Dry Martini ala Uncle: Again very dry, fits in Railhouse well. Just 4cl of Beefeater or Bombay and just a drip of vermouth.

7. Testarossas as an dessert, the cheaper vodka the better.

Good luck!

Or if you would rather smoke then drink while playing this also does the trick

Some strands that work the best...

1. Buhdda's Sister, This strand will give you the kick that you need too rush (and I mean rush hard) with a mac10 and spray 2 or 3 around the corner on Northport.

2. Timewarp, I only recommend this at the very beginning of a funwar with the last map delta because by the time this heavy creeper kicks in you will most likely be starting the second round of delta and this will help slow down the world in catfood.

3. Good 'Ol Green Bud, I recomend this for any instance and at every waking time you are playing this will peak your senses just enough so you don't die from the sniper that is camping corners.

And last but not least

4. Homegrown White Widow, This strand will make you get lost on big maps, but it will get you paying enough attention that you can hear the light footsteps of the enemy closing in.

I am new again also, I played the Quake 3 True Combat years ago, I am sure some of you remeber me:
Rct. Tsoul says: Boom shak-a-lock to the head.
Am now returning after starting a family, the last time I have played was back in 2004.
I installed this new TCE on a friends computer and I liked it, one thing I need to know. GIVE ME A LINK TO DOWNLOAD ALL THE NEW MAPS/LEVELS FOR THIS GAME, I hate downloading them from the server ingame.

OK, this is a little weird...

I originally posted a *Hello* back in December... and then left TCE for 5 months! (Went back to ET)

Well, I'm back trying TCE again. In the interim, I taught myself a little about map making and would like to start making maps for TCE. (I have an alpha version of one made in gtkradiant 1.4 ready to submit and I will be posting on the Map-Making thread about that. Map experts out there please PM me about the best software to use and sites for prefabs and textures, etc. - I can use all the help I can get.)

As for me and my playing skills... h3ll, I can't walk straight and chew gum at the same time. But I did like playing ET.

My first impression of TCE on the few maps I've played is that it is a little more *serious* than ET - I hope to make TCE more *fun* with the maps that I submit for testing here at truecombatelite.com

Anyway, Cheers! everyone. I look forward to seeing and shooting you soon.

(You expert mapmakers out there, please do PM me. Thanks.)

TCE isn't 'fun' from the beginning. It's like a plant, you have to grow it before it really gets interesting.
