What do you two actually do for the development of the game? I was under the impression you (Diana) were only one of many PR people, and I didn't even know Gator is on the team (but obviously he is, according to your post).

If that's true, then having one or two or your PR people is no excuse for a lack of news update, it doesn't take someone who majors in Public Speeking to write "things going well, pictures of gun: etc..."

If you actually do something towards the development for the game (create new material like Traumahawk) then I'm mistaken about what I said previously in my post, and feel free to correct me.

Sorry, but did you have to pay a registration fee to view these forums or this site? And how much are you paying for the mod?

Team Terminator doesn't do this full time, they don't get paid to do this at all. So let's keep the pissing and moaning about progress down a bit, hmm?

I was referring to the TC.US team - not the development team of TT/G6S.

And yes, I am "only one of the man PR people" (there are 3 including me) but I deal primarily with TC... then TCE. ;)

Contrary to popular tce belief, tc is still as active as it always has been ;)

The development is just dead - but those darn players just won't leave. Teeheehee.

I'm not complaining about the lack of updates or progress at all, quite frankly I couldn't care less about TC or TC:E.

All I'm saying is that just because there's no PR people to report new, doesn't mean the news can't be reported. It's no excuse. Now, if coroner was hit by a car and in the hospital for a month, that'd be an excuse. If he got tired of working on the game, that'd be an excuse. Having 1 or the 3 PR people tied up is NOT an excuse.

But since I'm on the subject of 'lack of updates,' it is killing the community. The foolish decision to release one big game instead of many small updates was stupid and has greatly reduced the amount of active people in the community. Choosing to release one big file instead of many frequent updates has killed many mods in the past, yet mods that released small updates more frequently often flourish with activity and support. I predict TC:E will be no different.

Bad move, TC:E dev team.

I can see your point, and agree with it. I think it's a bit of a toss-up really as to how the community will react. (1) You can give them 1 big update every 4-5 months or so, making decent improvements and additions that will keep them excited and playing. (2) You can give them little bits of updates here and there, which may or may not excite them but will let them know you're at least doing something.

Of course, this also has the added disadvantage of giving people more to complain about. Someone that is all knickered up about horrid hitboxes might go through 1-2 quickshot updates and see that it hasn't been fixed, then give up hope altogether.

Slippery slope and all that.
