why not replace the m16 with an m4, thats more efficient, there is almost no difference between a m16 and a m4, except that m4 has the automatic fire mode.

if you really want an m16 in the game than just use burst or single, its the same thing, but i need the automatic fire mode because i never use burst.

There is a difference between the m16 and m4. The M4 is a carbine, while the m16 is an true assault rifle. Carbines, are rifles with a shortened barrel, and thus less accurate. Long range accuracy is significantly less accurate in carbines. Furthermore, carbines are easier to move around.

I'm kinda split.

if the SCAR-L CQC was brought into the place of the M4, and the M!6 cahnged to an M16A4 or an M4, it would more accurately reflect the terror weapons. (seeing as the M4_AK have similar accuracy)

not really, because m16 is still the standard weopon of specop's and its not possible to always choose m4. what i mean is to use the m4 as a standard weopon, and the m4 isnt official i think it is modded by some server admins.

no you dont have to continue i guess... :?

Dragonathan, have you ever thought that there may be a reason that spec ops start out with the m16? Maybe because it's intended to be worse than the m4, so that their is a reason to raise your score. By your logic terrorist should start with the AK74 when they play recon. Or snipers should start with the r93 and sr8. Maybe, just maybe, they meant for the weapons you start with to be worse than the weapons you unlock by playing well.

I think that perhaps the SpecOps are burdened by the M16 in order to diametrically balance the MAC-10.

The M4 is officially in the game, so no, it is not modded by a server admin or whatever (I don't even play online, and I can use both the M4 and M4 SOPMOD on a LAN server by myself).

What dragon means is that he wants the M4 and the M16 to switch places, so you can select the M4 at bottom level AA.

Well that isnt exactly right, the M4 is the stronger weapon and should be much higher up the aa.

there arent that much games that are still using the m16, nowadays the m16 is replaced with an m4.

though many games don't use the M16, it is still in service as the primary weapon for the U.S. army, and similar versions are used around the world (the C7 rifle is a copy of the M16, only soldiers are given low-power scopes standard)

the AK is a mixed bag, it's powerful, yes, but it's the standard weapon for many poorer countries, and the preferred weapon for terrorist groups (much to Kalashnikov's distress :( )

Also, the terrorist (In obj mode only) kinda need stronger weapons to keep the game balanced. Since the spec ops have the advantage of defense, its kinda nice that the terro's get a powerful starting weapon.
