tc:e's facial designs looks horrible, 2 years ago someone made the faces more detailed, look:
http://www.truecombatelite.net/gallery/ ... _gamma.jpg

dont know what happend with that face, 2 years later no facial improvements yet?

and im also not really happy about the new facial designs that bruce45 made
look:
http://www.truecombatelite.net/images/m ... 047_02.jpg
it looks unrealistic and cartoonish,

the wet-engine is capable of having ultra realistic faces, so why not take advantage of it?

i have some suggestions for the facial designs but its for the terrorist's because the specop's should wear mask's/goggles or anything that covers their whole face because that would make specop look more cooler,

-ultra realistic life like faces, like some facial flaws that allot of humans have,
example:
Image

-"leading role actor"/"tough good guy" type of faces,
examples:

Image

-"typical american hollywood hero" type of faces,
examples:

the model's face's should look like humans and less like plastic models,
to make the face's look more like real humans is to add effects like:
rimples, beard, ultra realistic human pigments on the skins, ect. ect.
devs are using MAYA so this should be possible,

the best looking 3D faces are the faces with characteristics.

if trauma's models get in, they won't need faces, but in any case, modelling/skinning faces should be fairly simple. I'm sure if the covert ops face was brought in it'd work too.

By making the models 'ultra realistic' you will reduce performance and framerates considerably. Even if the player is dead, the corpse still has to be drawn.

Y'know, just a fun fact, but I personally don't like looking at the faces of people I am SHOOTING AT. i am for the chest, the recoil usually means I get at least 3 or so hits in the chest, and sometimes a couple of lucky ones in the head.

That plus the range is too great to make out any distinguishing features anyway.

wouldnt it be cool if the corpses stayed exactly where u died and didnt seep into the ground when u respawned?

actually i once suggested it, but it is way way too difficult to code that,
allot of games still cant let the corpses stay on the floor,

the only console that let you do that is PS3 due to the cellprocessor,
the game resistance is a good example, all the corpses stay on the floor till the end of the match with out any laggs.

1. W:ET cannot "easily" produce highly detailed faces by any means, and suggesting that it can produce faces of the quality of gears of war aka the best looking game out, is laughable.

oh and

if the textures are done well, we can get the illusion of high poly models, and I think it is reasonable to have some nicer textures, TBH.

aye. I have 10-20 ragdolls in HL2 without noticable lag. I only get extra lag with them when I kill them all at once, because of the power that 30 individual soldiers takes for the AI
