I see no tactics in these hints. For me, this is more like using exploits. Given TC:E´s philosophy, I don´t think the devs wanted people to stand on lamps.

Agreed. It's just lame and its kinda sad to see how much time some people spend to find these kinds of "tricks" just to get a few easy kills.

I think that Heretic has done a great Job, doing this. I don't think its sad to find this kind of tricks, i have enough friends who play TCE just to find these spots, I THINK ITS AWESOME :D

if they used accurate physics, the lamps would simple brea, shatter, bend, and whatever. full grown humans with armor and guns weight too much for a lamp to hold up

AA does but you still cant shoot out most lights. maybe they could just put an on-off switch in every map. A rambo specops walks into the dark room, he turns around, turns on the lights, when he looks behind him, he's surrounded.

On Topic:
Those aren't really tactics, they are just ways to get easy kills on people which is kind of n00b standards if you ask me. It's like sniping the only areas the opposing team can move out of from the spawning location which is most definantly spawn killing in my opinion. (Sort of wandered off topic there. :))

Thats why all the spwan locations should be somewhere where there is cover 360 degrees around in every other angle. Fully covered, possibly with baorded windows if its on ground level or higher, or maybe a basement, but spawn location should never be somewhere wehre enemy snipers and sharpshoters can see you. There should also be more than 3 ways out to avoid clogging or setting up traps outside the "spawnkilling area"
