Ultra-realistic, multiplayer WWII combat

Fight in the theatre of war that changed the world forever. Battle alongside your compatriots on some of the most inhospitable environments of the Eastern Front in Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 RO places you in the most realistic WWII first-person multi-player combat to date on the PC, allowing the player to fight through some of the most intense combat of the war. You can play as infantry, using a wide range of infantry weapons, or crew one of the many armoured combat vehicles available in the game, from half-tracks all the way through to the most famous German and Soviet heavy tanks. You can engage the enemy with everything from your bayonet at close quarters up to the massive 122mm cannon on the Soviet IS-2. And if that isn't enough, find an officer and a radio to call in thunderous artillery strikes to shake the enemy loose.

Lol, who doesn't know about RO, problem is, it's not free, it was for a week, but that got over with. I might consider buying, always loved the Russian part to the WWII story, and few games offer that play time.

Lol, while I'm at it, is forum master like, 500 posts or something? :? :P

but its UT2k4 based... engine is getting old. New engines can be used and modded.. all you need is the mod team.

RO:osfront 41-45 is based on source. it's good. but I'll stick to CoD for WW2 realism (beause it actually RUNS on my comp. and sometimes I'll get a ping under 70.)...

Is it? just because Steam and valve are selling it doesnt mean it is usign the Source engine. RO, and RO:O 41-45 are UT2k4 based. GO to the ROgame website (retail webstie not the mod website) and try to notice the bit U logo at the bottom and click on it.

A question though, just how replayable is it? It doesnt seem to have a really big player base and not that popular too.

I really want to play it, but I lack the $25 to play it, NavyField was $12 a month, which was getting expensive, which is now free might I add, www.navyfield.com IT IS NOW FREE AGAIN, LIKE BAKC IN BETA TIMES!!!
And I have been trying to buy a model of the Bismarck and well RO is like second on my list, luckily RO is buy it and keep it.
