Again, like at TC.com, you should try to specify your question. Do you mean how to play TC:E when you started ET? Or the game itself works, i.e. how the gamemodes work, what to do with that bombe etc.?

Perhaps it might be easier to use a language someone from Hong Kong grew up knowing. I dont know anyone who can help translate. Im quite sure none of us speak fluent Cantonese or Mandarin here or how you will type it in the PC.

We will try as much as possible to help but first we need a more detailed description to your question or problems if any? Is it how to play the game or how to make it run properly?

The Asian languages or anything dealing with different symbolics, other than Russian, is something I can't translate. :P

A man can only do so much.

Hmm... We could find out.

If not, I'm sure we can find someone to translate into those languages... Or we could use Babelfish. They have Chinese and Japanese on there.

For example:

"This is the True Combat Elite beginners manual"

In Chinese-simp:

这是真实的作战精华初学者手工

In Chinese-trad:

這是真實的作戰精華初學者手工

In Japanese:

これは手動本当の戦闘のエリートの初心者である

NOTE: Your browser might not read the Chinese and Japanese postings I just made because you might need to download language packs.

I will tell you how to do that if you are interested.

Also, I think if someone would grow up in Chinese, they would learn how to speak Cantonese and Mandarin.

Hmm, well as I remember it isnt easy to translate modern english computer lingo into a 6000 year old language that just refuses to evolve. (no offense but it is highly outdated already, thus missing alot of equivalent words to english and having to live with overly compunded substitues)

Ringo, you're going to have to specify what you want to install and then we should be able to help you from there.

If not, you're just confusing us and yourself.

I think he just wants to know how to install and play it.

There is some information (some outdated) on our Installation page.

Also know that there is no Single Player mode - only Multiple Player.

Well, when the information regarding 049 comes out, just PM it over to us and we can fix up the formatting so the only thing you have to do is upload it.

I love asian politeness. Ringo, the most "popular" mistake is that people don't extract the TC:E 0.48 patch in the correct folder.

Quote:
6. Finally run tcetest_0.48_update.exe, here you need to be a bit careful, point the installer at the "Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory folder", NOT the tcetest folder. If you do you will end up with "C:\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\tcetest\tcetest" and the game will not be "patched".

If the patch installer asks you to overwrite some files, you're doing the correct thing.

I'm trying not to be ignorant or appear uneducated - I don't want to mix up Chinese and Japanese language and culture (I know this is a delicate topic....even equating HongKong with China is delicate...). However, the chances to find somebody who is able to speak Chinese might be much higher at the very active Japanese community at http://www.truecombat.jp/.

Regards
Melmoth

Wondering, who are the staff of the dutch and japanese communities? The entire TCE network should hold a meeting to clear up the issues regarding the technical problems some people are having, that way, we have the same universal solution for every possible problem.

More like a TCE Network staff meeting room. That way, TT can address anything we need to address to our own communities.
