You know that the credits should go to Bruce. I only "stole" the logo from the screenshots and added the wings and some text. Basicly a copy and paste job. But thanks, anyway. However, Diane, your sig still stands above all, hehe.

Oh and of course - if the real originators (TT/Bruce) agree - everyone should feel free to take my sig for his own.

technically massmail really is spam. It is called bulk mail, and what folder is the spam box in yahoo mail called? Bulk folder.

We should remember to put emphasis on "Wolfenstien: Enemy territory Total Conversion" with double emphasis on "Wolfenstien" since QuakeWars is taking up alot of attention and can easily be mixed up as it is also refered to as "Enemy Territory".

Perhaps by 049 and up, the installation process should be a one step deal and no more directory finding and tweaking. Just make it automatically find wolfenstien and install itself, if it cant find it, it should show a note that WET is needed.

I think of it as Enzyte e-mailing you every goddamned day asking you if you want your penis enlarged to nearly 40%. Mass-mailing, or bulk mailing as it is called, is a version of spam.

Xeno made the point I was going to make, that being that most e-mail's have a folder for bulk mail.

But it's obvious that we need to get our point out a couple of times for you to register it.

I'm not the only one calling your ideas crapola if you haven't noticed...

Take that speech in Dutch in all seriousness Dragon...

As for this thread... It's a stupid idea, I think as along with everyone else. It's at a level of spam almost everyone hates...

So, if you keep flaming both me, Xeno, or anyone else here who is just stating their opinion, I shall lock this topic...

This is no threat, it's a promise, and I'm merely doing my job as a Moderator on this site...

I ask for just a little bit of respect, and I'll do the favor in return.

I dont think that feature is necessary as if they want to they can do it themselves. A personal invite is much better than an automated invite.

its more easier to type emails and send it,

because the post that the people have received contains allot of stuff, demo video, pictures, and you should be able to download the files directly from the post,

this is a good method for lazy people,

it is better to make a personally written or said invite than something that you get from someone you dont know.

That is why improving the site's design to make it easier to find what you need to get started, like the downloads page and the guide pages, in everyone's reach.

This idea could work if we sent the e-mail through Gamespot.

I get e-mail from them because I like to stay up to date with FPS's.

If we could work something out with them and have them send out an e-mail to everyone that tells them about TC:E, it could gain some to a lot of popularity.

lets give it a shot. It would be good if someone could start a gamespot union for TCE.
Spamming is commonly defined as the sending of unsolicited bulk e-mail - that is, email that was not asked for (unsolicited) and received by multiple recipients (bulk). A further common definition of spam restricts it to unsolicited commercial e-mail, a definition that does not consider non-commercial solicitations such as political or religious pitches, even if unsolicited, as spam.
spam is basically unsolicited e-mails, that are mostly advertising.

I think that newsletters from places like gamespot, gamespy(planet network), etc. would help cut down on spam.

If we signed it up with Gamespot though, it technically wouldn't be spamming for the members there agreed to get an e-mail from Gamespot e-mailing service.

I'll take this idea up with the dev's.

Then maybe someone could head over to gamespot and ask them if it is possible. In the meantime, I might need some help convincing the gamespy/ign planet wolf memebers.
