Another bad example of how to safe some poly's on unnecessary detail.
The weapon hit the poly limit so there will be no more detail added

is thta how the model really looks? The edge of the gun seems liek it was ripped out of a piece of paper. But the gun looks pretty sweet. I would like to see more detail on that thing, and then it would be pretty damn tight.

Rather than "waste" polys and bog the game down, ALOT of detail comes from the skin....maybe ISM will be kind enough to leak the skinned version's VERY nice :)

My plans for the long shot is make nearly all weapons to have add ons that can be choosen at the start of the round as some sort of balanced package. Tihs will of course take a lot of thought and coding. So dont expect it to be available anytime soon.

@ gator. Geometry is only hard to replace with textures. very well done textures can fake a lot of detail but the lack of geometry does show on the current models. there is a reason we decided to pimp the 1st person geometry to a more state-of-the-art levels. Trauma did already an amazing job on the player models and none of you wants to miss those models after you have played the next version of tce! I'm 100% sure of that.

I think everyone on this project has high expectations and our collective goal is to deliver quality that comes close to that of commercial games. So expect more polygons and bigger textures 8)

You know that sight style on the specop weapons is incredibly annoying.

does anyone else suffer from this?

I feel like an entire person can hide in the blidspot(s!) that the gun creates when in ironsights.

I was in the swiss army for 5 years
I can tell you sig 55 is very good weapon.
accurate,light,ideal for close combat
or long range..can be a good sniper rifle.

useful range 300 m

Good to see other SIG fans around. I absolutely LOVE the SIG552.
Its a fantastic weapon design and completely underrated by most people who think its just a CS-trend thing. :wink:

all crying about copying anything etc. is just bs in my opinion. it should be well done and adding a high quality to the gameplay that#s the importand thing. who gives a shit about other games, that used this weapons too.

ps. how is the new sig model coming along?
