the intro should be something like some good JUNGLE prodigy beats,
but this should never be the background sound of the menu,
because it will drive people crazy,

the intro is more for an introduction for new players, if you have seen the intro a couple of times allready, you probably click your mouse button, and skipp the intro,

now the menu background music should be something that wont make people bored, it should something that is memorable, reconisable,

i suggest classic music, because it makes the game more professional,
what i mean by classic music is those type of background music used for movies like, gladiator, passion of the christ, you know what i mean...

if you still dont know what i mean,
type this in your music downloader search box:

blackhawk down - still reprise

or type:

sountrack blackhawk down - still reprise

that type of music would give TrueCombat 0.49 a boost on the professionalism

Saving Private Ryan - Hymn to the Fallen - John Williams

Belly of the Steel Beast- John Williams

Seven Seas of Rhye comes to mind, but I have yet to play with it...

John Williams... hmm... some could be done with him.

Why don't we do what they did in ET and take some music from Call of Duty?

Look into some movies that play music that would fit this style... I'll do the same.

The Prodigy - molotov bitch

this one is tight!! this is the shit!!
this track would fit for the intro.

Prodigy is good. I'd say Phoenix or Medusa path would be more suitable.

Also to take for consideration:

Infected Mushroom - Alot of songs actually.
Filter - Hey man nice shot intro music is cool! - please do listen to that.

Are we looking for Techno, rock, metal or what?

I'll have a look at some Russian music I have and send samples

Not that I think there is anything wrong with the current music (besides the fact that I would LOVE to see per-map music for load screens, warmup, etc.)...

The dramatic stuff works well for WAR games, which I'm not sure TCE should be classified as...

Maybe something a little more fun (and less intimidating to the new player) like Strange Man by Ozone Cocktail (sample of song at link)?

Is a soundtrack for TC:E really necessary?

I mean, if we try and use something Copyrighted we will have to pay Rights to them and that isn't cheap.

oh by the way, this isnt for the main menu, this is for the intro, the background music for the main menu should be like i suggested in the previous post, more classic, there should be some emotion added on the background music of the main.menu.

Umm, other than completely ignoring me Dragon, you could try responding to me.

I'll repeat myself...

Some music has Copyright, that © you see on a lot of things, which means we would have to buy the Rights to the music before we use it in this game.

Now, instead of quoting yourself other than EDITING your old posts, you could be considerate with my posts, as I am considerate in your threads, and respond with agreeance to my post or question my opinion with a legible answer.

I'd appreciate it, thanks...

I don't really get your first post though...

I guess my understanding of that post is kind of like my understanding of this thread...
