if the models are aiming with the iron sight,
it would be more realistic if you see the models closing his left eye,
while aiming with the right eye,
currently, you dont really have the feel that the models are aiming with the iron sight, it really dont look like the models are aiming,
you see that the models are holding the rifle too low when it aims with the iron sight, when they aim with the iron sight, they should really hold the rifle infront of they're faces, thats more realistic.

it should look something like this:
http://images.google.com/images?q=tbn:9 ... aiming.jpg
http://www.airsoftretreat.com/features/ ... aiming.jpg

and when the models are not aiming, it should look something like this:
http://192.156.19.109/marinelink/image1 ... lowres.jpg
http://www.army-technology.com/contract ... device.jpg
currently, when your not aiming, the models are holding the rifles too low, it should raise more up,
why? cause it will look a hole lot cooler when the models are running/moving,
you get the feel that the soldiers/models are really in a combat situation.
cause they look more aware!!
but currently, the models look extremely relaxed,
when they're not aiming, and thats unrealistic,
because real soldiers on real missions, would never look relaxed,
they probably look excited / ready to kill.

here's an example of what i mean:

one problem with the above picture.

that is teh sniper with his rifle LOWERED. if anything, when I"m standing likethat, I"ll have it lower.

I"m fine with both eyes open, personally, it's a thing that a minimod maker should fix. the devs have bugs and stuff to deal with, this is a bit less important.

a SIG550 is heavy. if you're standing, you'll have it as low, if not lower, than the pic.

when moving, it should be higher, but it will never match the First Person models.

check the guy on the left corner, you see he's holding a pretty heavy rifle,
and he dont hold it low,
these are professional soldiers,
not 12/13 year old skinny little kids, who barely can hold a big science book

they are being different than the models. the models are doing hip shots. hip shots mean you rest the butt of your rifle on your hip. in the picture they are doing shoulder shots. they are holding teh butt up to thier shoulder, but are not sing teh sights.

these are very different things.

Well, the ironsight aiming seen on the models is really just like that. If the arm was moved a bit higher and closer to the eye it would fold, convulge and/or rip and tear. MD3 models use per vertex animation, that means thateavery vertex has to be moved one by one to create a simple animation.

What they need to add when in ironsight mode is a blur around the gun. That happens because your eyes ae focused on the fore sights making the aft sights and the surrounding area blurry. Try it, hold one handcloser to your eye, then hold the other infront of it in the distance, then focus your eyes on a target when you point both hands in the same position.

Umm... closing his left eye? Are you suggesting that half the screen be black while the other has an iron sight?

I'm confuzzled. :?

It wont appear like that in real life. It would be more of a blur. In America's Army, the ironsight's back end or the rear sight is blurred out. It really appears like that. Try holding up one hand close to your face and another hand infront of it by a few inches maybe like the length of a standard rifle's handgrip to its heatshield or barrel. Then focus or aim at something in the distance, youll see that the hand close to yuor face blurrs out while the other hand is still clear or only a little bit blurred out.

BTW, I did just notice that the M16 ironsight doesnt look right. Isnt it a circular disc with a small hole in the middle instead of a ring?

actually, it's TC:E's M16 sight that's messed. the real one is that little pinhole...

but I like the big one for us, it just fits.

In AA. but do it with your hands and pretend you have a gun, youll see that one hand which is closer to your eye is blurred out when you aim everyting else on a target far away. In TCE, it doesnt blurr the texture for the guns just starts to look like crap as it zooms in. The gun textures need more detail, and this blur reall has to be added so it wont look like your just holding the gun in the middle.

no im not suggesting that the screen should be black while the other has an iron sight, matter of fact i never said that, i just said that the models should look like that, you should read things more attentively, so you can get to a better understanding of my hole perspective,

and if you still dont understand it, than dont reply, thats the best thing you can do.

I dont know what im saying, and im a AA fan wrote:

you should try to hold a rifle low,
low like this:
Image
and see if you see some blur, hmmmm

and check if you see your holding your rifle infront of your face like this
if your holding your rifle low at your stomach erea:
Image

and if you dont have a rifle, try using a broom stick.
