Dragon, he's read your post before. Then he didn't get it.

You quote yourself with stuff you've already said instead of reinterpreting it. He still doesn't understand.

Don't quote yourself, just explain it in more vigorous detail.

I think he is trying to say that the game should simulte exactly how you hold the rifle using the keyboard and mouse. Dragon you missed one thing there, where is the weight? where is the density? where is the recoil? A keyboard and mouse cant simulate those so simulating the ifle holding with your input devices wont make the rifle swing because there isnt really a mass to swing around and both are lain flat on your table.

This wouldn't make the game more realistic, but more complex then it should really be. People will get sick of it and probably won't play TC:E as much.

still, using the keyboard and mouse to prove that the rifle doesnt sway that much isnt a working strategy. You dont even need to experiment it to know it wont work. The only way is to actually carry a sniper rifle in a firefight situation wehre you can really get killed, as in right in the middle fo the real thing.

This would just create a hassle and then no one would snipe...

Wait, this is a good thing.

No sniping means no camping which means no n00bs. :D

I love this idea now Dragon. :P

look its just a game..., dont forget about the gameplay,
and these models in TrueCombat sepose to be professional soldiers,
not little kids who cant carry heavy things,

than you might as well add the swaying on evry weopon in the game, sinds those weopon probably have some weight too in real rifle...

so its really weird if sniper is the only rifle that lets you sway like a retard.

actually they should. The non-sniper weapons should have a slight swaying when in iron sight mode. That will really hinder campers alot.

It wont, it will only damage those who dont know how to use the swing to their advantage or how to overcome the swinging. I dont think you can play America's Army then if you cant get over th swinging as all the guns in AA sway in ironsight mode.

Even with a bipod attachment.

Swinging is realistic, but you can't make it difficult to overcome.

okay, just got back from a game of war with my friend (it'd be airsoft, but we had to include his little brother). had a reallistically (hell, even lighter) rifle, and even after resting it on a chair, it was still swinging slightly from side to side. may not seem like much, but when you put a scope on, it magnifies it.

Ofcourse. I have a pair of russian binoculars, not the astronomy kind more like the surveilance kind and it really shakes alot no matter how still I try to hold it. And to imagine it weighs less that a rifle. If you hold on but not to your eyes, it looks still, but when you look through the scopes you can start to see the shaking. But our friend from the army is right, once you get used to it it stops shaking so much, yet he didnt mention that it stops swaying completely and especially in a situation where your pulse and breathnig are trying to keep you awake and alert in the midst of gunfire and explosion, so technically its not just the weight, its your body under stress and tension plus adrenalin that causing you to be uneasy and start shaking.

if you think the devs gonna add the swaying on evry weopon, you can forget about it, I know exactly how the devs think,

ask some devs if they wanna add swaying on evry weopon,

you dont even have to ask, here's your answer:

NO

and perhaps the same thing with most of your suggestions. NO. So if you do know how they think then how come you make up so many requests to fix several problems that the devs already know about and already know that the engine's limits cant fix at this time? Besides, with no prior modding experience, especially any extra study on the Quake3 engine and idSoftware's background in the creation of the Quake3 engine, then how can you say you can think like the devs?
